Minister in the Prime Minister Department Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz is more fit to be education minister than Muhyiddin Yassin, Kapar MCA was reported saying

The division chief Song Kee Chai said this is because Nazri’s agreement with the educationist group Dong Zong's demands on Chinese education showed that he is an open-minded leader, willing to solve problems that the Chinese society is facing.

NONE According to the Sin Chew Daily report, the MCA division during their Mid-Autumn Night celebration yesterday also put up a banner urging Nazri become the education minister.

Song ( right ) was also quoted urging the Chinese community to throw its support behind Nazri in this matter.

“Nazri understands Chinese education problems better. He understands Chinese society well. Muhyiddin is a busy man; he should let Nazri replace him as the education minister.”

“As Chinese, we are happy to see that Nazri is able to solve the Chinese education problem,” waxed Song.

Nazri in response to the Sin Chew Daily report thanked the MCA division’s support, saying he is willing to serve the people and that they should convey their wishes to the PM

Song’s euphoria follows Dong Zong submitting their demands to Nazri at Parliament House this week.

Dong Zong president Yap Sin Tian emerged from his brief meeting with the minister after handing over the demands, saying their encounter was eventful.

MCA leaders however claimed that Nazri’s apparent support for the Dong Zong demands was merely diplomatic manoeuvring .
