PAS has lodged a police report against those who prevented its convoy, dubbed ‘Kembara Oren' (Orange Tour), from entering Felda Lasah in Sungai Siput, Perak on Nov 3 said PAS Perak deputy commissioner Haji Razman Zakaria in a press conference today in Ipoh.

He added that PAS will also file a civil suit against those responsible for the blockade which he said went against Article 9 of the federal constitution, which grants freedom of movement, and Article 10, which supports freedom of assembly and speech.

NONE Razman expressed disappointment that the police there did not take any action and instead sided with the provoking party.

"The police should have acted so that they would not block or threaten the PAS convoy at that time or in the future," he said.

He also called for all parties, whether they were for the government or the opposition, to not abuse the use of security forces, especially Rela.

On Nov 3, some 100 people blocked the convoy led by the PAS-linked National Children of Felda Settlers Association (Anak) from entering Felda Lasah.

"Most of them were wearing shirts with Umno and BN logos," Anak president Mazlan Aliman was quoted in the Harakah Daily as saying.

Mazlan claimed that he was dragged out of the car and pushed around by a number of youths, who hurled profanities at him.

The convoy is part of a series of roadshows into Felda areas to brief its settlers about protecting their interest.
