A DAP state assemblyperson was shocked to learn today that a batch of 60 party flags, put up by her staff at the midnight yesterday, had gone missing within the short period of six hours.
A DAP state assemblyperson was shocked to learn today that a batch of 60 party flags, put up by her staff at the midnight yesterday, had gone missing within the short period of six hours.
Hannah Yeoh ( below ), the assemblyperson for Subang Jaya, said the flags were put up along the roads at USJ 1 to guide supporters to a ceramah scheduled for January 25, 2013 tonight.
"What's shocking us is that all the 60 flags that we put up at 12am last night went missing when we checked again at 6 this morning," she said at a press conference at her service center.
Yeoh said the flags were donated by the residents, each costing RM15.
According to her, this is the fourth time that such incidents of sabotage had taken place.
"The first and second time my pictures in the banners were cut off. As for the third time, all our banners went missing.
"A few days later, MCA put up banners to promote its mega dinner at the same spot," she said.
However, the first-term assemblyperson does not want to speculate on the identities of the culprits behind the incidents.
"I'm not going to suspect anyone, but whoever is behind this, please play fair and stop being dirty," she said, adding that her staff will be lodging a police report on the latest incident soon.
