MCA veep: Guan Eng trying to sow discord in Kluang

your say Vijay47: Oh dear! What a terrible thing to do and how ungentlemanly of DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, trying to sow discord among MCA members, especially since MCA is a party long known for honour, honesty and decency.

Perhaps Lim should send MCA vice-president Gan Ping Sieu DAP's election strategy for his approval and blessings.

By the way, Gan said MCA has not yet decided on the candidate for Kluang. Did he mean to say Umno has not yet decided?

Aries46: Gan, it doesn't matter whether it is you or someone else who is chosen by MCA to contest in Kluang. DAP too is within its right to nominate any of its candidates regardless of whether he or she is from Penang, Kelantan or wherever.

You are missing the forest for the trees in accusing Lim of causing discord and conflict. The people who are really causing discord and conflict are the likes of former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, PM Najib Razak, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali, its deputy Zulkifli Noordin and other extremists.

I'm sure you are well aware of these racial and religious zealots who are the ones desperately trying their best to cause strife in GE13.

But the truth is that neither you nor your MCA would dare to point this out because you are their subservient sleeping partner and Umno would clobber you if you make any noise.

Fair Play: Gan Ping Sieu, all is fair in love and in war. You are fighting a war with DAP and the objective is to win.

Donplaypuks: Aiyo, this is politics lah . Do you think Lim and DAP should come to Kluang singing the praises of MCA? Get real Gan, and either live with it, or get out of politics.

Urkidding: Come on, Gan. Your party is 50 years old and not a new kid in politics. Send whoever you think is winnable. Ultimately it is the Kluang people who shall decide who to vote for. Not you, not MCA.

MockingYou: Gan, this is called strategy in case you haven't read ‘Art of War'. Just like the game Penang BN chief Teng Chang Yeow is playing up north, Lim is playing you down south.

The only difference is Lim has credibility due to his capabilities. And everybody knows MCA candidates need Najib's approval before contesting, so it doesn't matter which one of you stand in Kluang, just expect to fall real hard on your face and lose your deposit as well.

Apapunboleh: MCA can't take the heat from the big guns of DAP. But why has there been no comment from MCA on the sleazy sex videos put out by groups linked to Umno?

Does this mean MCA agree with these videos, since MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek was the first to do an open ‘gangnam' on tape? MCA is truly a disgrace to the Chinese community.

Fair&Just : Gan, you are a backdoor deputy minister. Please produce details on how you have spent your allocation from the Prime Minister's Department, and do declare your assets when you are a GE candidate.

None of the MCA leaders will dare declare their ill-gotten assets after siphoning tax money in scandals such as the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), and especially after selling out its own community on the farcical slogan of protecting the interests of the Chinese.

Indon Planter: For MCA, the only thing they can boast about is community work and nothing else. The rest? See no evil, hear no evil.

Wira: Gan, MCA representatives are experts only good at solving clogged ‘longkang' (drain) caused by the BN bureaucracy. If an efficient government can improve the civil service, 90 percent of the jobs of those ‘longkang' representatives would be taken care of.

A Pakatan government will remove those inefficiencies in government service so the services of the ‘longkang' reps will no longer be required.

Ghkok: Gan calls the Iskandar project an "exciting development". Actually, what are the real benefits of Iskandar to the average person in Johor? A job in Legoland?

Nyapsayot: People in Johor can only just admire Iskandar from afar. The only people who can buy property there are Singaporeans. It's a case of see but no touch.

HYL: BN used to always say that all PKR, DAP and PAS do are complain and complain and don't resolve the problems. Now all I hear is BN complaining about PKR, DAP and PAS.

BN and its components are like parrots singing the same old songs and also like a run-down cinema showing nothing but the same old porno movies.

Do you have anything new, BN? Why has MCA not uttered even a word on the scandals in Sabah and Sarawak and also about the ‘cow condos'?

Indeed, you can talk about the cows till they come home, but that ‘cow lady' is still running wild in the pastures.

Heavywater : MCA is talking like Gerakan. They are like children waiting for BN chief Najib to say, ‘Here, I give you this seat; take it or leave it.'
