YOURSAY ‘What other proof do we need of large-scale fraud by Umno and EC to pad the electoral rolls with dubious voters in BN's favour?'

Selangor EC chief admits dubious voters in roll

your say Wira: I hope Klang MP Charles Santiago has a voice recording on the admission of Selangor Election Commission (EC) chief Zulkifli Abdul Rahman that "many" dubious voters had been registered.

My bet is, tomorrow the latter will be coming out with a denial.

Anonymous_3da6: How can EC wait for us to find out all the errors in the electoral database and only correct them when these are pointed out to them? It is like finding a needle in a haystack.

This assistant registrar who had registered S Dinesh, who resides in Britain, as a voter last year without obtaining his consent, has committed an offence and should be charged accordingly. However since he is a BN man, rest assured no action will be taken.

The rakyat's fear is how many hundreds or thousands of such cases there are in the electoral rolls, which we have no means of discovering. It is definitely going to be a dirty GE13 and Pakatan Rakyat has a mountain to climb.

Aries46: With Zulkifli's admission about S Dinesh's case, what other evidence do we need of large-scale fraud and manipulation by Umno and EC to pad the electoral roll with dubious voters in BN's favour?

Apparently, this is why former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and others are warning of expected disruptions and troubles at GE13.

Is this also the reason why the court threw out Santiago's application to review fraudulent names padded in the electoral list for his constituency?

Pakatan Rakyat or Bersih should file for an injunction to put the elections on hold until the electoral roll is rid off all dubious names, and the criminals brought to book.

Timo100: The Selangor EC head is not fit to be a government servant, let alone be the head.

Why is he scared of breaking the law under Section 9(a) of the Elections Act, when in the first instance, he allowed the illegal registration of the named voter, which is already breaking the law?

Why did he not make a police report about the illegal registration? Why was an internal investigation not initiated? Why were there no corrective actions taken, including preventive actions? And why no punitive actions? Indeed, this is a scam.

What more is happening with the electoral rolls? What kind of government servants do we have? The EC is becoming a joke.

Anonymous #19098644: There is a consistent pattern of premeditated fraud. First, register Malaysians who are abroad or foreigners like Bangladeshis and Pakistanis.

Second, transfer voters from areas with high opposition votes to other states or constituencies such as Taman Medan voters in Petaling Jaya Selatan.

Third, the home affairs minister floats a red herring that third parties will disrupt the voting process. Fourth, the Wanita Umno, Perkasa and Umno Youth samsengs will be on duty to protect voters. Lastly, bus in fake voters with ‘instant' ICs to vote on polling day.

Then you have the EC, who when cornered, admitted that an Umno assistant registrar fraudulently registered voters, but that they can't do anything about the fraud.

The EC, the Attorney-General's Department, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the police and other state institutions are all compromised by the corrupt Umno regime.

Ksn: In the wake of this revelation, the entire EC should resign and the electoral rolls verified by an independent panel before the elections are held.

May Santiago get an injunction to delay the general election until this verification is done and corrected. That will be right thing to do if election results are to genuinely reflect the people's choice.

Jiminy Qrikert: As the Selangor EC chief, all Zulkifli can say is "there are many" when asked to confirm the number of dubious voters on the electoral roll. Surely in his position, he would know exactly how many there are.

And since he should know, he is also obligated to inform the rakyat so that we know the extent to which the electoral roll has been compromised by Umno-BN.

For him to stop short and not reveal the depth of the problem, he is essentially thumbing his nose at the rakyat.

It's almost as if he is saying, yes, there has been significant on-going cheating compromising the electoral roll, but so what? Umno-BN and the EC cannot be touched.

Anonymous$&@?: Parents, brothers and sisters of those who have sons/daughters or siblings abroad, please do a check on EC's website using the IC cards numbers of your those who are overseas.

If you find that they have been registered as a voter without them knowing, please make a police report and contact the Bersih office to get this on record so that Bersih can compile this.

Hplooi: This is just the tip of the iceberg. BN will retake Selangor based on these malfeasance.

And they are repeating the message that the opposition are promoting chaos because they expect the opposition to protest when BN fraudulently wins the election.

It is almost as if someone in the inner sanctum of the ruling party (and this excludes the lesser members of the BN coalition) knows something we do not know.

Headhunter: EC, why bother to go through the sham of running an election? Why not just declare the BN as re-elected?

This way it will save the rakyat hundreds of millions, not to mention the millions that PM Najib Razak dishes out as bribes.

Anonymous_4031: The EC should do the right thing. If the chairperson cannot do an honest job, he should gracefully bow out like Pope Benedict XVI did. Just say that "I am unable to do it; I resign as chairperson of the EC."

Please do not pretend not to know even when facts are presented to you. All right-minded and truthful Malaysians will condemn you if you fail to do your duty.

Ghkok: Bring this up to Bersih immediately. Bring it up to the Human Rights Commission (Suhakam), the United Nations, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and all the other international organisations in the world.

Shine the light on this despicable, unforgettable, disgusting and unethical act. In my opinion, it's even criminal. It is a just cause for Bersih 4.0, no?

2 Tim 1:7: "Governments that block the aspirations of their people, that steal or are corrupt, that oppress and torture or that deny freedom of expression and human rights should bear in mind that they will find it increasingly hard to escape the judgement of their own people, or where warranted, the reach of international law." - William Hague, British First Secretary of State, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

979899: Upon taking control of the federal government, Pakatan must build many prisons to hold the crooks behind this electoral fraud.

Anonymous #33877536: Clearly, this is not the way to a two-thirds majority.
