BN chief Najib Abdul Razak has handed out 22,000 motorcycle helmets to Selangor youths campaigning for BN throughout the state.
The helmets bearing a 'IM4U' logo in front and a BN logo at the back are sponsored by Kelab Putera 1Malaysia.
Najib delivered the helmets after the Patriotic Selangor Youth Gathering at the Shah Alam Politeknik today, where he continuously took a swipe at Pakatan Rakyat’s five-year rule in the state.
He claimed that Selangor single mothers and elderly citizens were "suffering" because of Pakatan's unfulfilled promises to provide them with aid, while also claiming that there are citizens in the state who have to "lift water up the stairs" due to alleged water shortages.
"We will solve all water issues once we take over the state," said Najib, who is also BN's head of election machinery for Selangor.
'Illegal gambling on the rise'
He also claimed that under the Pakatan Rakyat rule, cases of illegal gambling in the state have risen.
"Illegal gambling everywhere, massage outlets everywhere, they have failed, enough!" he said to a rousing reception from the 1,000-odd youths in the packed hall.
The youths soon started chanting "tukar!" (change) referring to a change in the state government.
"The opposition's manifesto is just fantasy. Our manifesto is my promise," Najib said.
After delivering a few helmets and briefly trying on one himself, Najib flagged off lorries that carried boxes of the helmets to the BN divisions throughout Selangor.
