Malacca PAS, which plans to contest 13 state and a parliamentary seat in the 13th general election (GE13), will be fielding a woman candidate for the first time.

Its deputy commissioner I Kamaruddin Sidek said they would be fielding the woman candidate, Kintan Man, 54, an entrepreneur and motivational speaker, in the Sungai Rambai state seat.

He said most of the candidates would be new faces, including for the parliamentary seat.

“We are bringing in more new faces because we are targetting younger voters who always want something new,” he told reporters in Malacca today.

He announced that state PAS commissioner Adly Zahari would stand in Durian Tunggal while former Malacca Hospital director Dr Khalid Kassim in Bukit Baru. Both are state seats.

The full list of PAS candidates for Malacca is expected to be announced by PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu in Bukit Kuda, Sempang near Malacca on Sunday.
