YOURSAY ‘If Zulkifli is picked to stand because he is considered a principled man, what does that say of Ibrahim Ali who is not picked to stand?’

Nazri: 'Principled' Zul a winnable candidate

your say Rakyat-in-grief: For Minister in the PM’s Department Nazri Abdul Aziz, Perkasa vice-president Zulkifli Noordin is a principled man because he is capable of insulting other races and religions, which is an on-going policy of Umnoputras.

The insulted ones are people without any principle; like MIC and Hindraf, because they have already swallowed their pride and wag their tails to the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters.

Jeremy Ng: If former PKR leader Zulkifli is 'principled', then there will be no description for 'unprincipled’. He is just lucky as Umno wants to use him to spread slander and lies against Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.

As for Ibrahim non-selection, it is again another strategy to use him from outside to fan racial and religious sentiments among Malay voters.

TehTarik: Principled means acting in accordance with morality and showing recognition of right and wrong. Nazri shows that he is nothing more than an ignorant politician who is unfit to be law minister.

In fact, he is the worst law minister in our history, and has gaffed many a time. How can he state that Zul is principled when he has made many derogatory remarks about Indians, Christians and Hindus. Our cabinet is unfortunately made up of many morons.

Milosevic: Here's an interesting comment on principles: According to Weikart, Hitler wasn’t an amoral monster but a frighteningly “moral” one - “moral” in the sense of principled, of course.

Principles can be directed to evil or to good. Hitler was an autocrat who aimed to bring about what seemed to him to be a praiseworthy end. He was certainly a winnable candidate, gaining power through elections, only to destroy the country.

And Hitler was a good speaker. So is Zul, in addition to being a principled, winnable candidate. And Umno is principled in the same way.

Maybe he will be able to summon, as a principled man, all the Hindu gods, from the cosmic dwellers to the stone idols which he mocked, to vote for him. Check the phantom list of this winnable candidate.

Ipohcrite: What Nazri Aziz said about Zulkifli Noordin is very instructive to us all. If Zulkifli is picked to stand because he is considered a principled man, what does that say of Ibrahim Ali who is not picked to stand?

Ibrahim Ali is clearly an untouchable and a non-winnable candidate.

Awakened: To all BN ministers, Perkasa's chief Ibrahim Ali and Zulkifli are "principled" leaders who ask Muslims to burn the bibles and degrade other religions like Hinduism.

This is BN principles and Hindraf will not mind giving their support to these peoples. The Christians have a good following in Malaysia and the Catholic Church has condemned both Jati president Hasan Ali and Ibrahim Ali consistently and never ask the Christians to support BN.

Anonymous #21828131: Winning votes through divide and rule has been the forte till today. Creating fear is another. Zul is a principled champion of this art. He could win going by this, as former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad has shown all this while.

If you are an Umno rep, you won't be able to see this or just don't want to know about it, so Nazri is merely providing lip service.

Multi Racial: If Zulkifli is principled, he should resigned as MP the moment he left PKR because he won the Kulim-Bandar Baru seat under PKR and not through him personally.

If he is principled he would not have agreed to stand under BN, which have Indians members he recently ridiculed. If he is principled he would not have agreed to stand under BN banner as he is not a BN member.

If he is principled, he would not have commented on Altantuya Shaariibuu case and PM’s wife Rosmah Mansor’s diamond ring issues as we know he did that to put himself in Rosmah’s good book.

Come on, there are many principled politicians, Zul is certainly not one of them. Anyway, I am not worried, Shah Alam voters will show BN how wrong they are.

JMC: This is the most stupid and degrading statement and it insults the intelligence of the people. How can a man, an MP at that, who does not respect a particular community and faith be principled man?

By supporting such a man and elevating him, BN is showing its arrogance and underestimating the power of the people.

Ferdtan: For those who interested in what Zulkifli Noordin said about Umno when he was with PAS/PKR, go to search for "adjieari" in YouTube. There are a few interesting clips when he hit out at Umno.

Even then he was the despicable character. Luckily Pakatan kicked out him out. Indeed, he is Pakatan secret weapon, a virus sent to the enemy side to destroy BN.

Calling all MIC, Hindraf, Human Rights Party (HRP) and all Hindraf supporters (including the usual Malaysiakini Hindraf commentators) - where are you when we need your help to censure Umno for appointing a candidate who had ridiculed the Indians and the Hindu religion?

Will Hindraf leader P Waythamoorthy go on another hunger strike to protest against BN chief Najib Razak for selecting so-called ‘anti-Indian/Hindu’ Zulkifli to contest under BN? Why the pin-drop silence? It is clear, isn’t it?

Anonymous #70881335: BN is scraping the bottom of the barrel for 'winnable' candidates. If Zul is 'winnable', Mahathir can be the Pope.
