Najib shows true colours in defending Utusan

YOURSAY ‘Two wrongs don't make a right - take action against Utusan and the Chinese papers, too. Is that too difficult to do?'

Najib defends Utusan, says Chinese papers the same

Primus: PM Najib Razak, the reason I am a Chinese Malaysian who can read Malay but not Chinese is because I am a product of sekolah kebangsaan. I am only able to know what is written in Utusan Malaysia and not the Chinese papers. So do many Malaysians.

In fact, any media that does what Utusan did should be condemned. The arrogance in your statement above is so evident that it marks a striking contrast to your apparent humility during pre-GE13.

As Malaysia's most senior politician, you are fully aware that such an unfair statement like "Chinese tsunami" is dangerously provocative and racially divisive. Your statement is full of malice and is not befitting of your office.

Swipenter: If the Chinese papers say a quarter of what Utusan prints, they would be hauled up by the useless caretaker home minister and threaten to have their licences revoked.

Heavenly King "You blame Utusan but you don't ask about the Chinese papers," Najib said during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today. This is childish talk -coming out of the mouth of a PM is shocking.

Mushiro: Two wrongs don't make a right - take action against Utusan and the Chinese papers, too. Is that too difficult to do?

Raja Chulan: I am deeply ashamed of having my prime minister who thinks that two wrongs can make things right. Najib has not got the message conveyed by the GE13 voters.

Najib is now no different than Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali and vice-president Zulkifli Noordin. He deserves to be kicked out one way or another.

Carpe Diem: Najib, the only reason you did not totally succeed in your polls manipulation was due to the vigilance of the people to prevent widespread fraud.

But was there fraud? Yes, there certainly was. From the ink fiasco to phantom voters, don't pretend there weren't enough attempts to subvert the will of the people.

And you don't need to fly people in on jumbo jets when they are already on the ground for who knows how long.

Apapunboleh: Showing moderation before election, showing true colours after election. He never changed since his stunt in 1987 . 1Malaysia, my foot.

Vijay47: Smarting from the rejection by the nation, Najib in his election night speech made a noble lofty half-hearted call for national reconciliation.

But this must be a record, even for a person with a flip-flop record like Najib has. Within two days, it is business as usual and he is already back to the Najib we all know.

Then again, what is there to be surprised about? Umno will always be Umno and Najib will always remain Najib.

Onyourtoes: You lost, the majority of the people nationwide do not support you and your party. That is the fact.

So no need to talk too much. Tell us what Chinese papers said that are racist or seditious. We want to know.

Bumiborn: Najib, ask your son (who can read and speak Chinese) about Chinese newspapers. He will tell that you are wrong.

Jaguh: PM, you are now exhibit more stupidity by emphasising on the Chinese tsunami and defending Utusan .

By merely analysing the data, it is obvious that Pakatan has more than 30 percent of the Malay popular vote. At best, it has perhaps 75 percent of the Chinese vote.

Your problem is not the Chinese. It is the Malay votes. So go do your homework.

Dreamwave: Najib was grim faced, stirred and shaken when he proclaimed BN was victorious on TV. Why the negative body language? He alluded to an unexpected swing (in magnitude) of the Chinese voters, but that hardly explains his demeanour.

Could it be, he knew the true facts about what actually happened to enable their victory - or was it the defeat of his five close and trusted lieutenants in the polls - evoke such a demeanour in him.

This begs another question to be asked. Why were all his "men" defeated? Has the move to oust and sabotage him already started within Umno?

Ruben: Does he really have any control over Utusan , I wonder. As for the Chinese papers, I am sure they would not have printed headlines like "Apa lagi Cina mahu?"

Lokaikai: After 56 years, you still don't know what the Chinese in Malaysia want? No wander you keep losing bit by bit.

And remember, you don't represent the majority of Malaysians. In this coming four to five years, if you are still there, that is, please try to find out what we want.

Datos: I think Najib has gone bonkers. He should not be talking on racial terms especially as prime minister of Malaysia. Again this was his doing.

The results are due to his failure to check Malay rights group Perkasa, Utusan and Mahathir when they were spewing venom on other races.

Good vs Evil: Najib, your statement have further affirmed your untrustworthy character. Janji tak ditepati (promises not kept) and cakap tak serupa bikin (didn't do as you said) are best to describe you.

These are the actual cause of your failure and reasons for right-minded Malaysians (not only Chinese) to reject you.

Louis: If the Chinese papers have written seditious articles, by all means put the writers behind bars. We would be too happy that you do it.

Please do not justify Utusan's write-ups by simply blaming others for doing the same thing. Your argument reminds me of the arguments of a seven-year-old kid.

PM's motto - you kill my dog, I kill your cat
