PM's motto - you kill my dog, I kill your cat

YOURSAY 'Dear PM, is this what you are advocating? Tit for tat, butter for fat, you kill my dog, I kill your cat?'

Najib defends Utusan, says Chinese papers the same

your say Quigonbond: PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim is right when he says Najib should not take his maths lessons from his wife, Rosmah Mansor, the honorary doctorate holder.

More than 50 percent of voters who voted for Pakatan Rakyat are not Chinese. Even if Najib said he won some urban seats, the trend is clear that urbanites have soundly rejected BN. It could even be called an urban landslide against BN.

Najib, former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, MCA chief Chua Soi Lek and Utusan Malaysia should examine the facts, take a deep breath, and rethink their position, because if they continue harping on this being a Chinese revolt, they are doing the entire nation a great disservice, and they sully the reputation of their forefathers in Umno.

Louis: Najib, have the Chinese infringed on the election rules when they voted for Pakatan? Or was there a special by-law whereby a Chinese is deemed ungrateful if he or she voted for the opposition? You are a sore loser, blaming others except your own self.

Anonymous_3f89: Before GE, Najib promised the sky and even wore Chinese costume. After GE, he immediately show his true horns. Do you expect the Chinese to vote for him in the next GE? This is the kind of arrogance that turned the Chinese away.

Stop Lynas now: Najib's legitimacy as PM is questionable. Not a good idea to start attacking the Chinese so soon, less than 48 hours. You may need Chinese votes again if the country scraps this fraudulent election and goes for a re-election shortly.

Het: Najib just reconfirmed why the Chinese didn't vote for BN. Just listen to him talk. He should ask himself why the Chinese have no qualms to vote for PKR or PAS.

Zen: Najib, all you have to do is just open the Webster dictionary and find the word ungrateful, then you will not be so sore with the Chinese community.

Puchong Mali: Najib simply does not speak like leader of a country. He sounds more like a sour petty loser.

Geronimo: You see, Najib, you just don't listen. Long before GE13, the Chinese have already made up their minds to dump BN.

The community do not need the influence of opposition leaders Lim Kit Siang, Anwar or Abdul Hadi Awang to turn against the BN. You did it to yourself. Pakatan was merely the conduit, period.

How do you expect to vote for you when:

1. You persecute the Christians who are both Chinese and Indians.

2. You condone the threat to burn the Bibles.

3. You broke your promise to conduct a proper investigation into Teoh Beng Hock's death. Till today, the family has yet to find closure.

4. Leaders like you are corrupt to the core when such an act is an antithesis to Chinese beliefs, and last but not least.

5. The last-minute handouts under the pretext of BR1M which clearly reflect your insincerity to help.

By the way, the Chinese stood solidly behind Umno in GE10 (in 1999) knowing very well the Malays had deserted the party. Umno won, but did you say thank you? Instead you crucified the community. Need I say more?

Fair Play: Dear PM, is this what you are advocating? Tit for tat, butter for fat, you kill my dog, I kill your cat?

Limfly: I am shaking my head with disbelief. With a PM like this, no wonder the nation is getting more polarised and going backwards.

Bamboo: Chinese bashing season has started. Before the false numbers from the Election Commission (EC) are exposed, I guess BN will use other ways to cling onto power.

SusahKes: True colours being revealed, finally eh? Is that why your 1Malaysia was left "vague by design" (as you explained)? Because in the first place, your DNA was never anything but Umno, right?

But I also think your current responses are more to safeguard your own position within Umno, knowing that your back is a lot more exposed now.

And with former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad and company breathing down your neck - coupled with the skeletons inside your closet - you embark on a smokescreen to victimise the rakyat, who expressed themselves democratically. Yet, you, Mahathir and your ultras see it fit to blame others but yourselves.

That's where all of it adds up. But what's worse this time is that the likes of MCA still sees fit to play along with you and Umno, including MIC's M Saravanan.

Rocker Boy: As a PM you must be matured and able to understand that in a democracy the people has a constitutional right to vote whomever and whichever political party they want.

As a PM, you must analyse where you went wrong and thereafter repair the mistakes. But here you are behaving like a thug.

Ben: I want to challenge Najib to show proof that Chinese papers had published similar news. He is not fit to be PM if he can't produce such proof.

Anonymous #45527285: Najib, since you have been given the mandate, behave like a PM - two wrongs don't make a right. Anyone who makes a seditious statement should be punished, be it the Chinese papers or Utusan .

You should nip the issue in the bud rather than justifying one's action by that of another. Nobody should be restrained or condemned for expressing their individual preference when voting, otherwise there is no meaning to elections.

Neither should anyone be made to feel grateful to any party or individual because they are paid by the people for the public office they hold.

Yap CS: The last time I checked, in a democracy, elections is about free choice of whoever to govern the country. If BN does not understand this, they might as well declare themselves as dictators and abolish elections.

Senior: Election is about choice. All Malaysians - Malays, Chinese and Indians - have a right to choose.

To criticise them for not choosing a certain party is to deny them this choice. Any view on how any community voted is wrong and must be avoided.

Najib shows true colours in defending Utusan
