PKR Wanita wants Women, Community and Family Development Minister Rohani Karim to explain exactly what she means by saying the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu has been "dealt with" .
“As far as the people are concerned, the main culprit is out there and he is the prime minister of Malaysia," said wing chief Zuraida Kamaruddin. *
This is an accusation that premier Najib Abdul Razak has
vehemently denied
several times in the past.
At a press conference today, Zuraida also accused Rohani (left) of being dismissive to concerns raised by the Mongolian delegation at a global women's conference held in Kuala Lumpur last week.
"Excuses like ‘they never approached me’ are unacceptable," she said, referring to Rohani’s explanation yesterday as well.
Rohani should have displayed courtesy by voluntarily receiving the memorandum from the Mongolian group, Zuraida added.
* Editor's note: In a letter to Malaysiakini dated June 17, 2013, the prime minister's press secretary Tengku Sariffuddin Tengku Ahmad denied the accusation and labelled it as "malicious, baseless and unfounded" .
