The Sessions Court today ordered Johor PKR executive secretary R Yuneswaran to make his defence on Sept 11 over the organisation of a Black 505 rally in Johor Baru last May.
Judge Muhammad Jamil Hussin said evidence had been adduced to show that Yuneswaran, 27, was the organiser of the rally.
He said Yuneswaran, as the alleged organiser, had failed to notify the Johor Baru Selatan OCPD 10 days prior to the date of the rally.
He is alleged to have committed the offence at the PKR office in Jalan Beladau 19, Taman Puteri Wangsa, Ulu Tiram in Johor Baru at about 8.30pm on May 15.
Head of the Johor prosecution unit Umar Saifuddin Jaafar and deputy public prosecutor Jasmee Hameeza Jaafar appeared for the prosecution while Yuneswaran was represented by counsel Jimmy Puah and Hassan Abdul Karim.
