your say Chee Hoe Siew: I am truly disgusted with the extremes that the government goes to handle the Chin Peng issue.

You want to stop communism? Improve inequality - that is the reason why people fall for this ideology. Stopping mementoes does nothing to halt the spread of the concept of socialism.

Hasn't the government learnt that the more they do in stopping something, it spreads like wildfire. Just like porn, honestly, whose home is without one? And this is in a country which hs banned  porn.

The authorities have more pressing things to do than taking such punitive actions.

Stories: Randomly declaring things illegal is a forte of the government. Look at the mess the made out of the Borders fiasco which till now remains unresolved.

Go back later, it would be the Indonesian bibles. It seems to me a KPI (key performance indicator) of the home minister is declaring things illegal and making non-crime related arrests.

Pimai2tangtu: This is pure madness. If the Umno government is bent on banning communism, please break ties with China and other communist countries. And stop trading with China and ban Malaysians from visiting that country.

With the Internet, I am sure the video on the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) will be uploaded for public viewing. The police action is pure arrogance.

By the way, we are still waiting for the Penang CPO (chief police officer) to charge the four Chinese youths for ‘distributing' bibles in Jelutong just before the general election.

And if they were, on what basis were they deemed illegal? If a peace agreement was signed, how can Chin Peng still be classified  a "terrorist"?

Cry, My Beloved Country: How about books on Chin Peng's biographies already in the public libraries and bookshops all these years? Are they to be confiscated too and arrests made?

YUNoAnon: Challenge them in court just like the government was challenged for seizing Christian materials in Bahasa Malaysia with the ‘Allah'  wordin them. Then we will have the dirty laundry aired for the world to see.

1Malaysia2Bangsa: This is childish and totally unnecessary. The man is dead and even the former Thai PM and two Thai generals attended his funeral.

Former Perak CPO Yuen Yuet Leng has also forgiven Chin Peng and called him a "friend" even though he still has two bullets in his body. Is this Bolehland's version of Islamic forgiveness?

Raja Chulan: Chin Peng is an enemy and terrorist and his legacy a threat to all Umnoputras. To the rest of us Malayans, he is a true son of this land.

Mohamad Abdul Malik: I do not see anything that tells me the government is stupid except for people calling them 'stupid' without any fact to back up their assertion. This is typical of communist sympathisers.

The opposition had only gained a symbolic 'victory' in the last GE as more than half of the Malays voted for them. Since 'winning', the opposition has clearly showed that most of their supporters were in fact communists sympathisers.

There is a silver lining in the death of Chin Peng after all. Now you clearly see who the communist sympathisers are.

Ma Lay Sian: I don't think it's because of Chin Peng or dishonouring the treaty the government signed with CPM. He is dead, he hears nothing and won't know anything.

I think Chin Peng's ban is being used as a form of provocation of certain portion of Malaysians whom the government isn't very pleased about.

Jeremy Ng: I feel the government actions are getting too unreasonable and not in compliance with international humanitarian standards. It is getting unbecoming and very soon Chin Peng's history will turn into a 'racial' issue.

Frankly, the more harassment the government create, the more heroic the late Chin Peng will become.

Oriole: So will they censor CPM ebooks as well. Do these clowns know that they're embarking on a failed project? Have they any idea how easy it is to get materials over the Internet?
