PDRM, inciting violence is a criminal offence
YOURSAY ‘If a deputy minister can be punched, what's slapping a MP?’
Muslim NGOs: Slap MP Teresa Kok, get RM500
Hplooi: It seems to me this ‘cash for slap’ offer is a clear case of incitement and a criminal offence under the Penal Code. Act 574 (Penal Code), Section 153:
"Wantonly giving provocation, with intent to cause riot. Whoever malignantly or wantonly, by doing anything which is illegal, gives provocation to any person, intending or knowing it to be likely that such provocation will cause the offence of rioting to be committed, shall, if the offence of rioting is committed in consequence of such provocation, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both; and if the offence of rioting is not committed, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine or with both."
Awakened: After watching Seputeh MP Teresa Kok’s Chinese New Year video clip , I find that it is just a comedy, making fun of Malaysian life and Malaysian politics.
There is no racial and religious connotation. Kok is just trying to sarcastically show how the highway tolls are "robbing" the rakyat, and the need to buy many branded handbags so that you can use these bags to fend off robbers.
The title of the video is ‘Ma Lai Sai Li Ya’. In Cantonese, “sai li” means exceptionally great or “hebat”.
Indeed, the Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia (PPIM) should view the video. By rewarding someone RM500 for slapping Kok reflects poorly of this Muslim NGO. It is unIslamic to reward someone to harm another being.
Ipohcrite: Kok is an MP and elected representative of the rakyat. If the IGP (inspector-general of police) fails to arrest those responsible for offering the RM500 reward, then he is condoning further threats to all right-minded citizens of this country and is complicit to whatever untoward acts that may follow.
In fact, the IGP himself can very well be a future target if this unruly bunch cannot be reined in and becomes even more emboldened.
WDA: If a deputy minister can be punched, what's slapping a MP? I am waiting for a statesman from the government to strongly condemn such antics and the police to take action.
Anyone wants to step up to the plate? Anyone? Do not be a bystander and pretend to be deaf and dumb.
Worried Sick: Only cowards will slap a lady. If someone slaps your wife or daughter, what would you do? Think about it.
These so-called NGOs who encourage people to do so for money are a disgrace to this country and the people who fall for it will be a real disgrace to their families.
You have many other avenues to make you opinions known. Please do not think we Malaysians are so stupid that we will fall for such cheap tricks perpetuated by about 20 or 30 morons. Remember former Bersih chief S Ambiga and the butt shakers?
Anonymous#007: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) should also investigate the Muslim NGOs who organised the blood protest. They seem to have a lot of money to throw.
The Home Ministry should also investigate and disband these NGOs for their clearly violent and criminal intentions.
Multiracial and secular Malaysia has no place for degenerates like these. Thank God, the majority of the rakyat are not like these.
Onyourtoes: Please, some of you may think that the Teresa Kok’s Chinese New Year video is unnecessary. I think the message being sent here is not the video, but their intolerance to even allow citizens to criticise corrupt and stupid leaders in the country.
That is the bone of contention here, not that we want to provoke unnecessarily.
Anonymous #40538199: Is the government lead by Umno is willing to let this country rule by mob? Who insult the Malay leadership and shame the country now?
Sali Tambap: Bounty hunters are allowed in Malaysia meh ? I feel sorry for these people. They are easily angered and then act violently.
Malaysia will never reach the standard of a developed world if our people do not have a sense of humour; if we cannot differentiate what are work of art and comedy; if we can only response with violence and threat of violence.
We cannot develop into people of stature in maturity when our response to provocation only borders on brute and brawn. This is amok mentality.
Come on, it has been more than half a century - surely we are educated enough to reach a satisfactory level of maturity.
Maplesyrup: Is Malaysia ready to be a high income nation? It looks like not, if our citizens cannot accept freedom of expression as a basic human right in this country.
Going by these NGOs’ logic, where were they when Dr Mahathir Mohamad criticised our then PM Abdullah Ahamd Badawi? Why the bias?
Odin: Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia (PPIM) activist Mustafa Hamzah, why don't any of you do it yourselves?
I'll tell you why. You don't because you have not the bollocks to do it. You are doing this only to get very cheap publicity.
CiViC: Why not Teresa Kok slaps herself gently, repeatedly and just claim all the cash. We will see how much can they pay.
RM500 per slap, it will put PM Najib Razak's BR1M to shame.
