One man in battle with entire police force

MyWatch: Top cop's son jobless but rolling in cash

Aries46: Crime watchdog MyWatch chairperson R Sri Sanjeevan, as what the former Selangor MB used to say, 'semuanya ok', this is the general attitude to corruption among those in Umno and public service institutions.

And speaking of corruption in the police force, no one blinks an eye anymore and you would be wasting your time reporting them to the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission).

For MACC, it is business as usual and it has no clout to prosecute anyone especially the 'big fishes' and those in the higher echelon of the Umno-BN regime.

Regarding the attempted assassination on your life, don't raise your expectations too much about the IO (investigation officer) if at all one has been assigned.

By warning you 'not to hold them to ransom', inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar has implied his 'tidak apa' stand on the matter.

It is a shame that instead of advising you on the progress of the investigation and assuring you of their full cooperation as what is required of an IGP, all that he can do is to threaten you from exposing any further police wrongdoings.

Mob1900: Ever wonder why these documents fall into the hand of MyWatch instead of MACC? It's because under MACC, it will be swept, cleansed and covered up as if nothing happened.

As law-abiding citizens, we should be helping MyWatch as much as possible.

HC: Sanjeevan, there are many people in Malaysia who gratefully look at you and your sacrifices, many at a personal level as you go about your quest to expose crimes linked to law enforcement agencies.

May God protect you from these thugs and keep you safe always.

Alia: You really have my respect, Sanjeevan. I salute you. Stay safe, wear a bulletproof vest, keep a guard dog and have your friends and family members close by. I wish you long and healthy life.

Nes: Dear Sanjeevan, I thank you for taking upon yourself to take on these men who are suppose to maintain peace and prevent lawbreaking, but who systematically break their own oath with impunity.

We ordinary people can only huff and puff, complain and look on with disgust and dismay, but you who nearly lost your life plunge head on against a very dangerous foe. May God bless you always.

Nick: Sanjeevan has already pointed the way for police investigations. What is preventing the IGP from saying 'we will investigate', rather than being defensive? Come on, even your words make the public more disaffected.

Lim Chong Leong: A Mario Puzo type story is acting out in real life drama in Malaysia. These days they are so blatant that they don't even try to cover up, knowing they will be protected from above, and I don't mean by some divine intervention.

It is more like a ‘you help me I help you’ policy.

RR: The corrupt practice is so pervasive that it is anchored in every government agency. Sanjeevan, you are trying fight evil nefarious forces like a one-man army.

You were already shot once but thank God you survived. For the society to change, we must have top leaders with integrity and dedication to lead the country. We don't have it yet but we pray for it. In the meanwhile, please be careful.

Anonymous_1396849985: I am sure the IGP will conduct a full investigation into this and reveal the details to the public.

The IGP is known to be hardworking, sincere and honest. He hates to see his own people making him look bad. Trust me. He will cooperate fully and help Sanjeevan to clean up the few bad police officers.

Tell the Truth: I truly respect Sanjeevan. Even though he almost lost his life defending justice and fighting corruption, he is courageous enough to continue his crusade against evil.

Let this be a warning to the IGP for defending corruption by threatening him for exposing criminal activities in the police force. The IGP should be thankful instead of the opposite.

Kudos to you Sanjeevan. We will pray for God's protection over your life and your family knowing evil will continue if it is not stopped.

Police chief fires at 'cheap publicity' Sanjeevan

Wira: Sabah police chief Hamza Taib, Sanjeevan made two specific allegations:

1. Your son had transactions of RM500,000 in one month. For an unemployed to have that much money, you as a police officer should be suspicious. Apparently you are not, for you like your son probably think money grows on trees.

2. The two cars have a combined value of RM1 million. It means these are luxurious cars. You brushed it off as two-door vehicles. I can tell you Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche also has two doors.

Anyway, you mentioned young men earn money and buy cars. However, your son is unemployed. So where is he getting the money to buy those cars? Did you give the money to him? From your civil servant's salary?

Odin: Hamza Taib, mere denial is not enough. If, as you have accused him of, Sanjeevan is after cheap publicity by making unsubstantiated allegations against your son, he has besmirched not only your son's name but yours as well.

And if your accusation has foundation, you must institute legal action against him to clear both your and your son's name. If you fail to do that, the court of public opinion will find you both guilty.

ACR: A mere 30-year-old and director of a couple of companies, dad was a top police officer and even so could not have amassed such wealth with his salary.

Of course, any sane member of the public would question this in light of the police force being one of the agencies where corruption is above average.

How many more before we realise that like National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) and the Cowgate scandal, there is nothing honourable in getting rich and successful through corruption irrespective of race?

Blackknight: Keep up the good work, Sanjeevan. Malaysia needs more brave people like you.
