Chocs more harmful to Muslims than graft?
YOURSAY ‘As long as there are crimes without criminals, no one is punished.’
Taxpayers’ RM118k spent on sports rims, accessories
Abasir: Corruption is a western concept introduced by western imperialists and organisations like Transparency International to confuse Muslims.
There is, as far as our Islamic NGOs are concerned, no evidence that the Prophet (PBUH) railed against corruption. And since that is the case, corruption is clearly not wrong.
That explains why Jakim, Jais, Mais, Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, Utusan Malaysia , Isma, Perkasa, etc, have never written editorials against corruption and abuse of funds, have never organised demonstrations after Friday prayers condemning the corrupt and simply do not see it as anti-Islam.
Suspicious Cadbury chocolates are definitely more harmful to a Muslim than corruption. And finally, since Malaysia is not a secular state, corruption and abuse of public funds is permissible.
GodBless: Again, another round of audit report time, another round of public furore, but nobody gets nailed in. Similar outrageous squandering cases will happen again and again till the Titanic sinks.
Anonymous_1398086645: I like this statement: “Likewise, it found the 35 instances where the vehicles were filling up on petrol too frequently within a time frame of between one minute to 94 minutes, totaling RM8,937.”
Ipohcrite: I don't think the change of tyres is considered too frequent. Let me explain.
First, I change a new set of tyres at Shop A to replace my old set. But I still keep the old set of tyres. Next, I go to Shop B and transfer the new tyres on my car to my wife's car, and then put back the old set of tyres.
The following month, I go back to Shop A and the whole routine is repeated. And before you say anything, let me tell you I have four wives, okay. And many siblings and other relatives who need new tyres.
Drngsc: More of the same. As long as there are crimes without criminals, no one is punished, this will go on.
The sad part is, it is our money and the government says that they have no money so the nation must have GST (Goods and Services Tax).
Even if we give this government GST at 50%, there will still not be enough, because the more we give them the more they ‘makan’ (eat).
Say no to GST until all these leakages stop.
Oh Ya?: It all boils down to pilferage and false claims. Of course, neither the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) nor the police would act.
Meantime, it is the taxpayers who would have to foot the bill. This is Bolehland. What can you expect?
Worried Sick: So what is new? Fill up official car, then fill up personal car, then fill up wife's car and whoever else's car. Charge the total to the government.
What action? Nobody will take any action because everybody who is somebody has a stake in this sordid affair.
They are only using taxpayers' money because they are working for us. Can't you get it?
Look at the civil servants at the federal level: they have free cars and petrol, smart phones and bills paid, toll free cards, and so on and then they complain that RM200 a month for their handphones is not sufficient.
So, what are you all complaining about? When people complain that GST will be difficult for poor families the answer from them is: 'Learn to consume less'. Period.
Gen2indian: Everyone is in the game. From royalty to ministers to civil servants, they find a million ways to milk money from the system.
Is all this halal, does anyone care? At the end of the day, it’s the ordinary hard working honest guy who gets squeezed from all sides to sustain the lifestyles of the well-connected few.
All you "defenders of bangsa dan negara" out there, this is the worthy cause you should be fighting, not petty issues.
Peacemaker: The civil servants in Johor are angels compared to the abusers of power in Sarawak.
Government vehicles assigned to the officer as used as personal cars to send kids to school, wives to the bridges/mahjong sessions and go shopping in the evening.
Cars being driven around in the middle of the night to transport "China dolls" for "assignments” at 10 in the morning.
We hope the auditor-general goes and takes a look at Wisma Bapa Malaysia expenditure. He would be blown away by the excesses there.
Negarawan: It seems that every year there is an increase in creativity level in corruption as reflected in the Auditor-General's Report.
I think Umno people are using the report to see who among them is the most creative, and to generate new ideas for corruption.
After all no action is taken, so what else can they do but to get more creative?
Apa Nama: Chocolate could be haram but money spent like nobody's business not haram. Eat halal food but do haram things.
Papspulus: Welcome to Malaysia the land of endless possibilities to rip you off. God, when will all this end?
