Pakatan faces acid test as pressure mounts

YOURSAY ‘Umno can now just sit back and enjoy the show.’

Azizah: Stay positive, Pakatan still M'sia's hope

Sodom Me Sodom You: This is a true acid test for Pakatan Rakyat. The Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim issue was going to blow up sooner or later.

Umno can now just sit back and enjoy the show. Control him (Khalid) now or lose more support.

We voted PAS because we felt that they represented the real values of Islam and are true about fighting the bigotry and racism that has taken hold of the nation.

However, we hear the same bigotry coming from high-ranking officials within PAS. Not to mention, the unity government with Umno.

I'm sure PAS knows how that will end. So, why are we still hearing this nonsense. PKR chief Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is right that Pakatan is the only choice, but if this is how the rakyat will be treated, then we will return to Umno until a new force comes around.

Quite frankly, most ordinary Malaysians are sick and tired of the racist crap that is being thrown about.

Ckl0001: How committed is PAS to the cause of Pakatan to make Malaysia a much more progressive nation?

The recent statements by its chief Abdul Hadi Awang and party spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat going against PKR's decision to have Khalid replaced as the MB are not positive at all for Pakatan.

Wan Azizah, please be ready to leave PAS out of Pakatan in the fight for a Malaysia where there is more justice, peace and harmony.

Ketuanan Rakyat: Can PAS really change? That is the major question. The moderates in PAS should come out and start a new party to work with PKR and DAP.

Rajakera: You can only find out if Pakatan is worse than BN after you have given Pakatan a chance to manage the country for two terms at least.

If after that you still think the BN is better, there is no stopping you from voting BN back in.

Just give Pakatan a fair chance and 75 percent of the seats and see what they can do. They may just bring about a new dawn for Malaysia.

Anonymous_1406605362: Yes, Pakatan is the hope of Malaysians. However, developments in Selangor, fanned by your desire to be MB, has raised questions on whether Pakatan can actually be a real alternative to BN.

What if the PM from Pakatan fails to perform and he refuses to resign? Will Pakatan put the country in a situation like in Selangor today?

If the way you and Anwar run PKR is an indication, it will not be a surprise that such a situation could happen. So, Wan Azizah, are you putting the rakyat's future at risk with your obsession of becoming MB?

Anonymous_1Ingrate: Sure we will, Kak Wan. Just throw out PAS and encourage those moderates in PAS to form PAS Baru. Let Hadi and Nik Aziz go their way.

Never mind even if we lose Selangor. Time is on our side, we can wait and it’s better to win Putrajaya without PAS, which is not a team player at all.

SSDhaliwal: PAS will not vote against Khalid. So what is PKR going to do then? It will be a big farce if PKR keeps saying how strong and united Pakatan is when it can't control the renegade PAS.

PAS has not and will never be a team player, and the sooner PKR and DAP severe ties with it, the better. PAS cannot be trusted anymore.

Gua Punya Negeri: If PAS wants a positive change, it should act collectively. The party should not give in to the radicals.

If this goes on, it is only a matter of time PAS will disintegrate, go into oblivion and disappear from the political arena.

Let there be a state election in Selangor. If the people choose Umno, let it be. The people deserve the government they get.

Anonymouss: I feel compelled to say something because I have supported Pakatan in the last two general elections.

Wan Azizah could be right, but only before the Selangor MB issue emerged. You had projected Khalid as the chosen one after GE12 and GE13.

All Selangoreans and Malaysians acknowledged Khalid’s good work. Suddenly now, he becomes a bad boy in PKR’s eye.

The RM3 billion in the state coffers is a testimonial. Now even Nik Aziz supports Khalid.

Something very wrong is going on in PKR. Don’t put your personal agenda before the rakyat. Don't betray and underestimate the intelligence of Selangorians.

A Selangor Voter: Let us stop bickering and focus on the job at hand - dislodging Umno from the federal government. We did it convincingly in Selangor, so let us not lose focus.

Nobody said it would be easy, but we came really close in GE13.

Fernz: Let PAS decide whether it wants to abide by Pakatan's common policy framework. No additions, no subtractions. Not one word more, not one word less.

Senior: All politicans on both sides behave the same: for themselves and not for the rakyat.
