The 26th Selangor PAS Dewan Ulama muktamar yesterday unanimously pass a motion to condemn and denounce two Selangor state assemblypersons for supporting Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the new menteri besar candidate.
According to the latest Selangor PAS Dewan Ulama Facebook entry, the motion would be submitted to the PAS disciplinary committee for action to be taken under Article 82 of the PAS constitution (amendment) 2011.
Prior to this, Hulu Kelang assemblyperson Saari Sungib and Morib representative Hasnul Baharuddin ( left ) were reported to have signed a statutory declaration in support of Wan Azizah's candidacy as menteri besar to replace Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, without PAS approval and knowledge.
Meanwhile, Selangor PAS secretary Mohd Khairuddin Othman, who confirmed the matter, said the party expected many more complaints and motions to be sent to party's disciplinary committee for action to be taken against Saari and Hasnul.
"We know there are attempts to entice our assemblypersons in Selangor (to sign the statutory declaration).
"We have full information on who are involved and we will expose the names of the lobbyists if the game is not stopped immediately," Khairuddin said in a statement last night.
