Upset at DAP supremo's warning that PAS may lose Kelantan if the party’s defeat in Pengkalan Kubor by-election is replicated throughout the state, PAS’ Temerloh MP shot back that PKR and DAP lost even more votes in the by-elections they contested.

"Lim Kit Siang issued a warning that PAS' defeat is a sign that BN will retake Kelantan. How about PKR in Balingian and DAP in Teluk Intan?" Nasrudin Hassan ( left ) said in a Facebook posting last night.

Nasrudin, who is a PAS central committee member, also uploaded a picture of statistics from all three by-elections.

It stated: "Balingian by-election, PKR votes fell 33 percent; Teluk Intan by-election DAP votes fell by 27.3 percent; and Pengkalan Kubor by-election, PAS votes fell by 13.18 percent."

The statistics were followed with the words: "Congratulations PAS for recording a much lower drop in votes."

Last Saturday, Lim said there was 4.5 percent swing against PAS and by extension Pakatan in the Pengkalan Kubor by-election.

He added that if this swing is reflected throughout Kelantan, BN would capture 25 seats while Pakatan can only obtain 20 seats, thus losing the state.
