And so, Ibrahim Ali has decided to pen an autobiography to air his views on the labels heaped on him, including being called a "frog" and "racist".
The book would also reveal his differences with former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The English version of the book is titled "The Misunderstood Man", while the Perkasa president is still cracking his head over a title for the Malay edition.
"If you have any suggestions, let me know," he joked with reporters during a press conference this afternoon.
As for Mahathir, who is also the patron of Perkasa, Ibrahim said the book would dispel the notion that he never disagreed with the former prime minister, whom he described as one of his mentors, apart from former finance minister Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
"People see me as always agreeing with Mahathir, but in my book, I will tell about the issues which I have disagreed with him.
"With Ku Li (Tengku Razaleigh), I will talk about why he did not manage to become the prime minister," he said.
Ibrahim said since his foray into politics during his university days, people have called him many things and he has become immune to this.
"First they called me 'gedebe' (the Kelantan slang for 'gangster'), then they called me 'katak' (frog) and now a 'racist'," he added.
Referring to the "frog" label due to his party-hopping track record, he argued that PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution ( right ), who was once with Umno, should also be served with the same amphibian treatment.
"Never mind, I will talk about all this in my autobiography," he said.
At present, Ibrahim said, he is in the process of verbally recording the contents for his book.
"When I am at home, free and relaxed, I use a voice recorder to record all the old stories that I remember," he added.
The book is expected to be completed before his 64th birthday on Jan 25 next year.
