The Australian passenger had experienced labour contractions when the aircraft, which took off from Kuala Lumpur, was en route to Brisbane, according to the Sydney Morning Herald .
The aircraft carrying 178 passengers landed safely at Ngurah Rai International Airport at 11.10 this morning.
Flight MH135 departed for Brisbane at 1.14pm after the woman was taken off the aircraft and given the necessary treatment.
“As soon as the plane landed, the passenger was rushed to Kasih Ibu General Hospital,” the airport’s general manager, Herry AY Sikado, was quoted as saying by Antara News.
He added that the incident did not affect operations at the airport.
