YOURSAY ‘And most of these people are bred and nourished by his own party.’

Dump your iPhones, KJ tells anti-LGBT NGO

P Dev Anand Pillai: Finally Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ) realises how dumb these fellows are. It will be a pity if KJ only has these types to help him run the country in the future if he ever makes it as PM.

These types fail to understand that amongst the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, a vast majority are Malays, so efforts should be made to understand them.

Not everyone is born straight. The rest of the world today seems to welcome LGBT’s contributions to the society instead of demonising and ostracising them, but here we seem to be doing exactly the opposite.

Anon1: Khairy, it will do both your government and the nation a lot of good if activities and statements of these NGOs are stamped down now and stern action taken against them as a deterrent before it is too late.

If these NGOs, including certain individuals, are allowed to speak and take action as they deem fit, even in the name of Islam, in time they will be so emboldened that they will take actions here similar to those of Isis (Islamic State).

It is more than obvious that there are cults out there bent on propagating and forcing their school of thought on everyone, and to eradicate all "infidels" from the face of this earth.

Swipenter: These guys are competing with the ‘coconut’ bomoh to showcase their "intelligence" to the world.

From Bolehland to Coconutland and now to Bodohland. What a transformation Malaysia has undergone in the past three decades.

Malaccan: KJ will have much opportunity to examine stupidity in all its glory as most of these “scholars” and “intellectuals” are bred and nourished by his own party.

KJ himself have been at the forefront of promoting stupidity, which he now ignores, when he made his intermittent racist and extremist stand in the bid to bolster his party credentials. But credit to KJ for noticing stupidity in this instance and calling it out as he did.

Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) should instead spend its energy on caring and championing the causes of the poor and marginalised rather than shaming their family and generations to come with their statements and actions.

Malaysians know when the monsoon is coming when there are high winds and increased rainfall. Likewise, we know Umno's AGM is coming when stupidity increases and hateful diatribe rises.

Wira: KJ usually talks sense when he is not confronting the opposition or having to support an untenable position of his own party. He is like former Gerakan president Dr Koh Tsu Koon who made a comical claim year ago that he wanted to be a BN MP to "correct" BN.

May: It is unfathomable how some can profess a monotheistic God and yet not embrace all His creation. Nothing that God created is blemished. Nothing.

Each and every one of us was made in love, for love. Not the kind of hate that has been spewed by these creatures, in the name of God.

When I think of God, I think of His great mercy. Like Thomas Aquinas once said, "Mercy without justice is the mother of dissolution; and justice without mercy, is cruelty."

Louis: Do you think those blokes will throw away their iPhones? If iPhones are given as gifts to them, they will accept them willingly. For all you know, their children and wives are using the latest iPhones or iPads.

Angry_Voter: If Malay Muslims want to disassociate themselves with everything Jewish/LGBT/Christians/pigs/dogs/Chinese/human rights/liberals/pluralism, etc, pretty soon they will end up living on trees.

Myop101: Indeed, how about monies they use every day? It is very likely that before they get hold of it, it has been through circulation in casinos, bars, banks or bak kut teh outlets.

It is best they donate it all to charity to clear their conscience since these monies may be deemed to support such ‘sinful’ industries.

AJ: Followers of a 'stupid' party cannot be smarter than the party itself, otherwise they would not be 'in' the party. The larger bubble of stupidity will be followed by smaller bubbles of the same.

The question remains as to how many would break out of the bubble. Khairy tries and then recedes whenever he sees no one else is following.

Hang Tuah PJ: Do all LGBT people indulge in same-sex cohabitation? It is a sin but then it is also a sin to cohabit when you are not married or cohabit with someone else’s husband or wife.

If these stupid NGOs want to protest against LGBT (which is actually, in most cases, a clinical state), then they should also protest against all those so-called 'straight' people who have illicit affairs like in Port Dickson, etc.

Don’t be hypocrites and pick on a certain section of society only. Leave them be and if they sin, they are answerable to God, just like 'straight' people like you and me.

I personally find LGBT to be very nice, sensitive, honest people. Many of my close friends are LGBT and they treat me like a sister. They are perfect friends to confide in and they make great cooks and interior decorators.

God created them and gave them a soul. Who are you to deny them?

Anon111: This is one of the most sensible and rare comments coming from Umno for a long time. The PM should do more of the same; the country now is overrunned by stupidity of the ultimate kind.

2Kali5: Agreed. As Albert Eistein said, "Two things are infinite - the universe and human stupidity."

Siang Malam: Finally KJ uses the right word to describe this bunch of idiots - ‘stupid’. I click ‘Like’!
