A handwritten note containing a questionnaire for a study on the social lives of the Suluk community in Sabah was among the documents seized from the house of one of the accused in the ongoing Lahad Datu intrusion trial in Kota Kinabalu.

Kinabatangan police officer Inspector Mohammad Azwan Abdul Wahab, 31, told the High Court today when identifying the note written in Bahasa Malaysia, that it was discovered in a small padlocked room at Pabblo Alie’s house.

The prosecution witness, who was formerly the Beluran criminal investigating officer, had been part of the police team that arrested Pabblo in a raid at a house at Kampung Muanad 1, Beluran at 5.15pm on April 10 last year.

Mohammad Azwan also identified a laminated document on which was printed, ‘Datu Latip Punjungan Kiram II’, containing designations like ‘Sultan Datu Jamalul Kiram’, ‘Sultan Datu Esmail Kiram’ and ‘Datu Agbimuddin Kiram Raja Muda’.    

Another laminated document read, ‘The British of North Borneo’ and ‘The Appointment’, he said.
