Controversial tycoon Taek Jho Low used money infused by 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) in a joint venture with Petrosaudi to effectively buy out Utama Banking Group (UBG Bank), allowing former Sarawak chief minister Taib Mahmud and his family to walk away with RM465 million, a report has revealed.
