Has IGP a crystal ball to see past and future?

YOURSAY ‘You can only dismiss something if you already knew about it.’

IGP: AmBank founder's murder not linked to 1MDB

Anonymous_1388671118: Our Tweeter cop is so efficient he can tell the outcome of an investigation even before he launches an investigation. He decided there was no criminal breach of trust in the Mara deal within days.

"There is no link between Hussain Ahmad Najadi's murder and the 1MDB case, none whatsoever", and the inspector-general of police (IGP) knows this either because he is involved in the investigation, or has a crystal ball that can see into the future and the past, or he is just simply incompetent.

Which one is it, KBAB51?

Vijay47: Oh cursed nation, you, Malaysia. First you had the Nipah virus, then H1N1, followed by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars) and Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD), and now the latest, MFNR.

You Malaysians have never heard of MFNR? A very infectious disease, it stands for Murder For No Reason and was first detected in a Shah Alam forest where police commando Sirul Azhar Umar and partner killed a Mongolian woman for absolutely no reason.

The sickness then morphed into an urban setting when a tow truck driver killed a man of Middle Eastern origins for no rhyme or reason in the middle of Kuala Lumpur, the dead-centre in fact.

If I were a partying Chinaman from New York, I would now be plenty worried.

Raja Chulan: The IGP as a police officer must investigate all possible angles to a crime before opening his mouth to defend selected people.

Every clue and information must be meticulously investigated. That is the mark of a good police officer. Indeed, many past actions like this by our IGP do not speak well for his reputation and the image of an IGP.

Gggg: I thought the 1MDB money, which allegedly gone into a certain individual’s account, only came to light very recently. Does this mean The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) allegation was already known long ago?

You can only dismiss something if you already knew about it and have investigated it. So when was the 1MDB link established?

Speaking Sense: Someone needs to tell this man the difference between investigation and jumping to conclusions. By the way, what happened to those mangosteens (on board MH370)? Another case closed because it is too hard or too inconvenient to solve?

Aziz Kader: Good joke Mr IGP, the murder was related to his attempt to mediate in a land dispute where he sought to stop the acquisition of a temple land for development. Tow truck driver Koong Swee Kwan was found guilty.

Very good story but difficult to believe.

Apapunboleh: Of course, there was no police report made by the late Hussain. Even immigration records can go missing.

There's more to dad's murder, says Pascal Najadi

Malaysia Ku: There is no smoke without fire. But note how quick the IGP came out to deny the alleged conspiracy at the highest level of government. All ala Altantuya Shaariibuu and political aide Teoh Beng Hock.

Ablastine: Jho Low, I would suggest that you take precautions knowing how key figures or witnesses can get blown up with C4, shot or disappeared in Malaysia, especially when they are involved in billion-ringgit corruption scandals with politicians.

You better not return to Malaysia until the present Umno government is demolished.

Wira: Like Altantuya, the truth may be bent but never be told.

Mushiro: The timing of the 1MDB money transfers to AmBank and the murder of Hussain is suspicious. The lack of motivation by the police to find (or free) the murderers smells a rat.

But if high-level politicians are involved, then the police's hands are tied. Only a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) can do the job.

Anti Dog: Mushiro, are you kidding? RCI can do the job? Look at past records - Teoh Beng Hock, VK Lingam, etc, any results? Please remember, this is Bolehland, semua boleh.

Helsinki: This is more epic than Taiwanese Hokkien drama. Just sit down and get your popcorn heated with caramel and enjoy the show. Can't wait for the big ending.

Jonah2: It is obvious Hussein’s son, Pascal Najadi, knows the mystery man. Just spill it out, and the Malaysian public will know how to get him.

Tok Karut: Mr Pascal, true patriots feel your loss. We hope that the death in mysterious circumstances would be reinvestigated and bring closure to your family.

RakyatBiasa: The Najadi murder case and Altantuya murder case are similar. Malaysians want to know who ordered the killings of Altantuya and Najadi. Tell us more, Pascal. Malaysians want to know the truth.

Anticonmen: Prediction. One Mongolian, One Chinese. One Arab. Next, it will be One Malay.
