Twenty-four people detained in connection with the ruckus at Low Yat Plaza were released on police bail yesterday.
Three others were detained for investigation under the Sedition Act 1948, said Kuala Lumpur CID chief Zainuddin Ahmad.
The three are blogger Wan Mohd Azri Wan Deris (Papagomo), activist Mohd Ali Baharom (Ali Tinju) and Bagan Umno division chief Shaikh Hussein Mydin.
Those released include four mobile phone salesmen and those involved in the ruckus on Sunday, he told Bernama in KL last night.
A brawl broke out at Low Yat Plaza on Saturday following dissatisfaction by a man accused of stealing a mobile phone.
A security guard detained the man who summoned his friends who got into a brawl and destroyed the mobile phone shop.
The next day, over hundred people gathered in front of Low Yat Plaza at 8pm followed by a ruckus which lasted until early morning.
