Don't hide behind aide, ex-SB number two tells Rosmah
Former Special Branch deputy director Abdul Hamid Bador has called on Rosmah Mansor to issue a denial herself instead of relying on her aide, Rizal Mansor.
"Is Rosmah willing to make a denial herself? Can't she speak for herself? She must answer," Hamid told Malaysiakini today.
This came in relation to Hamid's allegation that the prime minister's wife was present at a high-level meeting involving her husband and top officials.
Hamid had asked Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi if his transfer from the Special Branch to the Prime Minister's Department was decided at this meeting.
Rizal ( photo ) had dismissed this claim as nonsense.
Meanwhile, Hamid claimed that Rosmah was concerned that he would reveal more about her and that was the reason she was using her aide to dispel the allegations.
He also accused the prime minister's wife of "troubling" his officers.
Hamid said when Rosmah went shopping, his officers were forced to escort her and wait for a long time until she was done.
"All this while, she has caused inconvenience to my officers. For hours, my officers have to escort her.
"The government is forced to pay the extra cost in allowance for the officers who escort her," he added.
Responding to a question, Hamid ( photo ) said he was not afraid of making these allegations and looked forward to the prospect of being hauled to court.
"I am not afraid to die, I proved this during Ops Daulat (the Sulu incursion in Lahad Datu, Sabah).
"Furthermore, I don't believe in ghosts and spells. The power of Allah is above all.
"It would be better if I need to go to court, it would be easier for me to reveal all," he added.
Rizal, when contacted by Malaysiakini last night, said he would scrutinise Hamid's latest remarks before responding.
