Butt out, MCA Youth tells Pahang Umno Youth

MCA Youth secretary-general Leong Kim Soon has told Pahang Umno Youth not to meddle in the party's internal affairs.

He said it is not up to third parties to determine MCA's internal processes

"MCA Youth draws on our party's own internal mechanism to resolve matters, without a need for third parties to interfere.

"Hence, Pahang Umno Youth should attend to matters within its own party," he added in a statement.

He was responding to Pahang Umno Youth chief Mohd Sahar Abdullah who demanded MCA president Liow Tiong Lai refer MCA Youth Pasir Gudang chief Cia Chow Hui for disciplinary action.

This is after Cia announced that his division had severed ties with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak for defending the Sept 16 red shirt rally.

Leong said MCA has our own procedures on handling issues involving party members internally.

"MCA does not need non-party members to make irresponsible remarks or outrageous demands on any MCA leader to institute disciplinary proceedings on our own party members from within. Such demands are ridiculous and offensive.

"Tackling challenges on our country's political and economic stability which were indirectly caused by Umno's internal party disagreements are of prior importance.

"Hence, I advise Umno Youth to look after their own internal party affairs first before being judgmental against other parties," he added.
