YOURSAY | ‘If nothing is amiss with SRC, then why would its top bosses go missing?’

MACC: We never denied diagram showing funds flowed to PM

Sali Tambap: The ‘take home’ message we can get from this is its significance - the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), an investigating body, refutes SRC International's claim.

This is very serious repudiation because the diagram in question shows an alleged flow of funds from the former 1MDB subsidiary into PM Najib Razak's account.

This means, so far, the reports by Sarawak Report , The Wall Street Journal and The Edge have not been rebutted and therefore stand as truth.

Another interesting corroborating statement recently was from Bank Negara refuting the Attorney-General’s Chambers that there is no case against 1MDB for alleged illegal transfer of fund amounting RM2.6 billion.

Now, from both the statements by MACC and Bank Negara, both investigating bodies respectively, have confirmed the alleged misappropriation of RM2.6 billion by 1MDB and RM42 million by SRC.

SMC77: Yes, the denial from MACC has serious consequences. It is unusual for an enforcement agency to make such a statement if there is no case against PM Najib Razak.

First, Bank Negara made it clear to the world that 1MDB was lying and now MACC came out to implicitly say RM42 million was indeed deposited into Najib's private bank account.

If you link both together, it is quite clear that they are suggesting that Najib is not as clean as he claimed.

Gggg: MACC did not deny, but they also did not confirm the charge sheet. That's the problem.

If charge sheet existed, then the removal of the attorney-general (AG) and the attempted transfers of MACC officers clearly would be, rightly or wrongly, perceived to show sinister motives unless proven otherwise.

SRC would not be entirely misleading to say that MACC did not say the charge sheet is true.

Anonymous_1419570792: If nothing is amiss with SRC, then why would the top bosses go missing?

Bamboo: Everybody is washing their hands to pretend that they are not tainted.

SRC trying to tar MACC, and MACC parried back and denied absolving SRC.

When will these ping-pong game cease? Meanwhile, all the alleged crooks who conducted the dubious transfer of money get away scot-free.

Who runs SRC International, Pua asks Finance Ministry

Rick Teo: Najib is the finance minister and SRC is a former subsidiary of 1MDB, which now comes under purview of the Finance Ministry.

So please explain how SRC’s RM42 million ended up in Najib's private bank account. This is a clear case of CBT (criminal breach of trust) and no amount of explanation can cover that fact.

Najib has to be charged with CBT.

Anonymous 1689721435778173: "SRC in its statement yesterday said that none of its funds was misappropriated, based on an internal investigation."

If this is the case, why did the SRC bosses abscond overseas? Their actions already show to the world their guilt.

And why did the SRC take so long to come out with this statement? Is it because they have completed all the necessary actions to cover up its alleged misdeeds?

Anonymous 273021436761739: Why are BN MPs still supporting Najib? The answer is very simple.

All these MPs could also be linked to the scandal. Like Najib said, if the ship sinks, they all sink. In short, live or die together.

Gov't insists Gani removed as AG on health grounds

Basically: They think we are all retarded like their party members. Firstly, no Umno big shot has ever resigned, not the least for 'health reasons'.

Secondly, Najib, who is implicated, should not be making the decision on the replacement of the AG. That just compounds the impression of interference.

Najib has the chance to step out of office while 1MDB and his private bank accounts were being investigated. The AG changing hands under his watch should not have been allowed to happen.

Thirdly, it's not just Abdul Gani Patail's replacement, it's the entire series of events taken as a whole that points obviously to interference.

Finally, it's the fact that with Abdul Gani's replacement the whole probe had been disbanded.

Oh, and what of your director of (mis)communication admitting “the charge sheet had to be stopped”? Twist and turn he may, that was essentially what he had said.

Lamborghini: De facto law minister Nancy Shukri, you are fooling nobody. Those who do wrong always have to tell lies to cover up their wrongdoings.

Please be an honourable MP in the august house of Parliament. You can fool people some of the time but not all the time. And don't make a fool of yourself by telling such a blatant lie.

Anonymous #523894157: Let's hear it from Abdul Gani himself ... and don't tell us he is in coma.

So SRC money in PM’s account also a donation?
