Deepak rehearing another episode in Bizarre Malaysia

Bar Council wants in on ‘troubling’ Deepak rehearing
Peacemaker:
If the court is acting on a letter from a stranger to the lawsuit, it would be illegal. How can a superior court make a mistake like this? Does the Bar Council have to show them what the correct law is?
Ordinary Malaysians should be very anxious that our judiciary appears amenable to outside interference, whether it be by letters or the odd phone call.
Haveagreatday: The legal implications of this are beyond my comprehension. But I am thankful that the Bar Council has deemed it necessary to hold a watching brief.
The decision may have been made, but those characters involved have to be put on notice.
Abasir: Yes, ask the questions, Bar Council president Steven Thiru, and also enlighten us on what happened to that the inquiry on senior lawyer Cecil Abraham in relation to the false statutory declaration (SD) by the late P Balasubramaniam.
Anonymous_1419577444: This is not the first time we have "bizarre" stuff happening in court.
Middle Path: Indeed, this is but a continuation of bizarre happenings in this country, starting with the attorney-general (AG), the police, judiciary, Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and of course, the PM's Department and 1MDB.
All under the command of the chief, and his men and women.
Send In The Clowns: "Bizarre" is like a glove to a hand in this blessed country. All this is happening just to save somebody's ass.
Ourvotesdecide: Why are the Bar Council and Advocates Associations of Sabah and Sarawak not working together on such a very crucial, vital and unprecedented legal issue like this, which involves members of the judiciary and the legal profession?
Civil society groups can also join in. When our judicial system becomes suspect, it directly and greatly affects our national economy because investors will lose confident in investing their money in Malaysia.
Malaysians will also suffer as they may not get justice in their disputes or cases brought before the courts if the judicial system fails to function independently.
Scandalcountry: This is a special case for a special person, so that the truth will not be disclosed.
Lawyer schools minister on no-confidence vote
RM2.6billion Duit Haram: Lawyer Syahredzan Johan, you are wasting your time teaching BN strategic communications director Abdul Rahman Dahlan about the Westminster system.
With his low level of intelligence, it would take you a few decades just to drum into his numb skull what Westminster is all about. A donkey would grasp the idea faster than he.
CQ Muar: There you go again, Abdul Rahman, to show what a goon you are as a senior minister.
It takes a lawyer like Syahredzan to indicate and impart such basic knowledge to you - aren't you ashamed?
Before you make a bigger fool of yourself next time, go consult this lawyer first.
And, as a refresher, I quote this to remind you: "The no confidence motion is not a no confidence vote for the PM as a member of parliament for Pekan, but as PM."
Got it? Is your thick cranium so devoid of grey matter?
Mosquitobrain: Abdul Rahman, you can make hay while the sun still shines, but you don't have to stoop so low to protect and be in cahoots with your tainted boss.
What a very stupid reaction from an Umno-BN lawmaker.
Anonymous_1372741039: What is he thinking? This is not a bazaar where you may go to trade or negotiate a transaction.
Do we have little immature boys in the government? What calibre of ministers do we have here? It is shocking, to say the least.
YF: This is what happens when you get Umno clowns to be MPs. They are stupid, ignorant, incompetent, corrupt and clueless of what is right and wrong.
That is why we are all suffering from their stupidity and corruption.
My Opinion: What are we to do? Many idiots become leaders of organisations or vice-chancellors of universities and have no discernment or intelligence.
Ipohcrite: Abdul Rahman wasn't born yesterday - that much we know.
But more than that, we now know him as a minister with a very simple mind who is trying ever so desperately to come across as someone who can score political points for BN with his self-assumed intelligence, but fails miserably due to a serious lack of grey matter.
Stop trying to punch above your weight, Abdul Rahman.
Whatsup: In BN, only if one is stupid and loud-mouthed and unashamed to show people how stupid they are, then one gets to be appointed as minister.
P Dev Anand Pillai: The problem is the more they try to hold on to power by whatever means, the more glaring and dumb their mistakes are.
A vote of no confidence in a Westminster-style parliamentary democracy like ours is usually brought against the leader of the executive who is the PM. The opposition, which proposes the said vote, doesn't need to resign in event the said vote is defeated.
This is basic, but as usual here in our beloved land, the law and best parliamentary practices don't count. All that matters is what the chosen party and its leader want.
Patriot1: By his twisted logic, if the PM loses the no-confidence vote, then all the BN MPs should resign en bloc.
