Bays Q10 and Q12 at the KL International Airport 2 (KLIA2) in Sepang has been closed due to fuel spillage.
In a statement tonight, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad said that the Malaysia Airports Aviation Fire and Rescue Services team started cleaning the affected bays at 11am today.
It noted that that the cause of the spillage was still unknown.
"The Kuala Lumpur Aviation Fuelling System (KAFS), which is responsible for aircraft fuelling, is investigating the cause of the spillage," it said.
MAHB gave its assurance that safety remained its utmost priority and that KLIA2 was operating as normal.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused," the airport operator said.
