Former PAS vice-president Husam Musa said he is humbled by a proposal that if former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim becomes the prime minister, then he should be the deputy prime minister.
Husam said the suggestion was made by some quarters.
"This was told to me by Saifuddin (before my ceramah) but this is the first time I have heard about this proposal.
"I am not contesting to become prime minister or deputy prime minister," he said humbly in thick Kelantan dialect.
The Salor assemblyperson did not state in his ceramah which was uploaded on his Facebook which Saifuddin he was referring to.
But it is believed to be former PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail who was previously Machang MP. The other is Saifuddin Abdullah, a former Umno minister who recently crossed over to PKR.
Husam, who was close to much-revered former Kelantan menteri besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, said he was only concerned with providing service to people.
"I told the late Nik Aziz I have no aspirations to become PM or DPM but to only be of service to him (Nik Aziz); even to carry his slippers is all right to me," he said.
