The PAS central committee has decided to call in the party's former vice-president Husam Musa to explain and provide proof on his allegations against the PAS-led Kelantan state government.

This was revealed by the party's deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur after the PAS central committee's meeting today.

"In a positive manner, the party is of the opinion that any allegations made must be accompanied with enough proof," he said.

While no date has been set on when Husam will be called in, Tuan Ibrahim said it would be as soon as possible.

He said that Husam would be asked to explain "many things".

"Whether it is the allegation against the (Kelantan) state government or the party president or the party," he said.

He added that the party would listen to his explanation before deciding on the next course of action.

"This is the party's attitude. We are ready to listen," he added.

He also said party members should express any concerns related to the party through the proper channels.

"As a party member, he (Husam) should have used proper channels to voice out any problems involving the party.

"So that is why the PAS central committee has decided to call him as soon as possible for his explanation,” he said.

Husam has been on a warpath against the Kelantan administration, especially on the issue of alleged illegal logging.

He had also been critical of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, and exposed an alleged plot by Hadi to form a unity government with Umno in Selangor.

Alternative suggestions

On a separate matter, Tuan Ibrahim also said that PAS would be producing a document containing its criticisms and suggestions on the Budget 2016.

This document will be handed to the Finance Ministry, though it is up to the government whether to accept PAS' advice, he said.

He added this was in line with the party's tactic of not only opposing the ruling party in elections, but also to provide alternative suggestions.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak presented his Budget 2016 on Oct 23 in Parliament.

Pakatan Harapan has said that it plans to vote down the budget bill in lieu of a no-confidence vote, though it has also admitted that it would be difficult to pull it off.

PAS has stated that it would not vote against the budget as it would only burden the rakyat more.
