"I am happy that PKR has successfully harnessed the strengths of DAP, Amanah, and PAS to sit together on a stage to fight Umno-BN," he said.
Among the opposition leaders present at the congress were DAP Youth chief Wong Kah Woh, Amanah Youth chief Sany Hamzah and PAS Youth vice-chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin.
Azmin added that PKR is also committed to work with other opposition groups such as PSM, as well as parties from Sabah and Sarawak to fight for the people's rights.
Azmin, in his capacity as Selangor menteri besar, is maintaining a careful balancing act between PKR, DAP, Amanah and PAS in the state.
He is confident that the parties can work things out over time, despite their current disagreements.
At a press conference later, Azmin said even PKR and DAP's disagreements in Penang can be resolved amicably.
"We will resolve it in the family," he said, when asked about the spat between Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and five Penang PKR assemblypersons who abstained on a vote regarding land reclamation.
