So it was graft that made Rizalman take his pants off

YOURSAY | ‘An officer, but not a gentleman, who learned how to spin from his masters.’

Rizalman blames stress because of 'corrupt seniors'

Dont Just Talk: So corrupt practices carried out by senior officers of former Malaysian military attache Muhammad Rizalman Ismail had stressed him, which resulted in depression.

What a shame for such a statement to be made by a Malaysian military attache to the Malaysian High Commission in New Zealand.

When the fish rots from the head, it looks like the cancer has spread to its body and tail, even to an overseas embassy.

RCZ: If Rizalman had done what he did in Malaysia he would still be a diplomatic attache and the victim would be in jail.

The man was so stressed with corruption that instead of reporting the corruption, he took off his pants.

Maybe the opposition should try that in front of PM Najib Abdul Razak and Umno and see whether it works.

Vijay47: The secret is out. Unlike the typical tourists who return home with mundane souvenirs like stuffed kiwis, when Rizalman ‘balik kampung’ recently for a holiday from work pressures in New Zealand, he brought home an elephant.

We can expect the Foreign Ministry to soon release a statement that they concur with the findings of the New Zealand psychiatrist.

Rizalman was subjected to further mental evaluation by Malaysian experts, possibly the same pathologists who conduct post-mortems on those found 'killed himself with a towel' in police custody, and was found to be suffering from intense anxiety disorders leading him to manic imagination bouts where he is unable to distinguish between reality and fantasy.

Now that elephant. Our disgraced diplomat has revealed that corruption is widespread in New Zealand, to perhaps the same extent as Mara real estate purchases in Australia.

In the wider interests of the nation, Rizalman must be shown to be a total looney bin. Corruption? What corruption?

Retnam: Yes, commonly accepted standards are different from Bolehland standards. For instance, in Bolehland ‘stealing’ RM2.6 billion is an act of heroism, but stealing a bag of rice from a supermarket gets the culprit 10 years’ jail.

Odysseus: If Rizalman's statement is true, then there is something seriously wrong with the Defence Ministry. How can you send such a person as the country’s military attache?

Worse still, he can't comprehend English and yet was sent to an English-speaking country. Enough said.

Pisasu 7: Receiving donations from Arabs is okay, but questioning it is not okay. So Rizalman, the poor soul, went to a strip joint to listen to music and followed a woman who he thought smiled at him home.

Anonymous_3e86: It isn't just him alone, but all criminals do not know the nature of their actions and are capable of considering their moral wrongfulness according to commonly accepted standards. Otherwise, they won't be committing such crimes.

Shibboleth: An officer, but not a gentleman. He must have learned all the ‘spinning’ from his political masters.

Vent: Rizalman is clearly a despicable man and it is a cop-out for all despicable persons to blame others for their ills. Except that in this case the ‘others’ are also equally despicable.

This is the malaise that affects Malaysia. We have no standards of decency or accountability and certainly none of honour.

When the government of the day itself is rotten to the core just who do you blame? A pathetic liar and an alleged drug addict? Why was he hired in the first place? Because the system is broken.

Ramesh Rajaratnam: I think a cabinet position awaits this man. And the incredible thing is, his defence is being paid by you and me.

KTM Komuter monthly trips now cost more

Jaycee: We don't really mind if the price increase translates to better and timely service. On the contrary; commuters are shortchanged by the poor service.

Take the Petaling station for example; the ticket machines are not working and have not been working for many years even though the machines are physically there.

So if you want to take the KTM to Kuala Lumpur, you have to go across the overhead bridge where the ticket office is; buy your ticket, then go back up the stairs to the overhead bridge and come back down to the KL-bound train platform.

Why should commuters be inconvenienced just because no one in KTM bothers to commission the already-paid-for ticketing machines to work?

You will never find new unused machines (still boxed up; for years) in any of the MRT stations in Singapore. This trait belongs only to Bolehland!

Anonymous_1371469581: Indeed, how much money is KTM losing by not installing the ticketing machines that are lying in the stations around the Klang Valley.

Every day hundreds of people are travelling free because the entry and exit machines are not installed. After 7pm there is no one selling tickets at the smaller stations and people are traveling free.

The ticketing counters at KL Sentral are so crowded and it takes a long time to buy the ticket manually. There is only one gate which accepts Touch ’n Go at the Kepong station and a long line of people have to queue to pass through.

KTM is losing revenue by employing staff to collect tickets because the machines have not been installed. Instead of rectifying these shortcomings, the fare is being increased.

Nasib Nazak: RM48 becoming RM108 is not 50 percent, it’s a more than 100 percent increase. KTMB is concealing the truth about its decreased discount rate with the monthly pass.

Mafeeah: Isn’t this daylight robbery? Has KTM done any research or surveys on how many commuters would actually need 30 trips a month?
