Self-proclaimed Malacca sultan Raja Noor Jan Shah Tuah is being investigated under the Sedition Act, said Malacca police chief Chuah Ghee Lye.

This is following a report made by the Malacca government on Noor Jan's claims that he is the sultan of the state.

"There was a report made at the Malacca police headquarters, so we opened investigations and he is now being probed under Sedition Act for claiming he is Malacca's sultan," Chuah told Malaysiakini.
