Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chief Hasan Arifin said the panel has yet to decide whether former 1MDB chairperson Mohd Bakke Salleh will be called to testify in its investigations into the debt-ridden state fund.

The PAC resumed its proceedings into 1MDB today by summoning incumbent chairperson Lodin Wok Kamaruddin and Hasan told reporters later that his testimony would determine whether there is a need to call Bakke.

"Actually Bakke only served as chairman for two months. Lodin (has been) chairman for five years.

"After Lodin has finished giving his explanation, then we will decide if there is a need to call Bakke," Hasan said at a press conference.

The Rompin MP also said that the panel would continue questioning Lodin tomorrow because "there are a lot of things to be settled" with him.

Hasan said all PAC members were given the opportunity to question Lodin and there were a lot of matters raised due to his many years with 1MDB.

Today's proceeding began at 10.30am and ended about 1pm.

"We will start a bit earlier tomorrow, at 9.30am. If there is a need, we will even continue in the afternoon," said Hasan, who added that PAC is targeting to table its report in the March session of the Dewan Rakyat.

Asked about the questions raised at the proceeding, Hasan merely said that the details would be revealed after Lodin ( photo ) concludes his testimony tomorrow.

During the previous PAC proceeding on Dec 18 last year, the panel had recalled 1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy and Hasan at the time said Mohd Bakke was scheduled to testify before the panel on Jan 20 (tomorrow).

The PAC is one of several agencies currently investigating allegations linked to 1MDB and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

1MDB and Najib have so far denied all the wrongdoings raised by their critics.
