Contradiction is too kind a word for Hadi Awang

YOURSAY | ‘Kuan Yew is consistent, Dr M is a contradiction, but Hadi is directionless.’

Hadi Awang is one big contradiction

Speaking Sense: Actually, writer Stephen Ng is too kind to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang. He is not a contradiction because it requires brains to be a contradiction, making it hard for others to figure you out.

But Hadi doesn't know what he is talking about, even when he makes pronouncements about Islam, much less about economics and social issues.

Appum: I really wonder how the intelligent Malays in PAS, some very professionally qualified, can be led by a leader like Hadi. The way he argues and present his views and narratives are really telling.

He may be well-versed in the Islamic field, but usually the people who are well-versed in their own respective religions are people of great wisdom and tolerance.

Go and listen to some of the Dalai Lama's interviews. I chose him as an example because he is also a political leader of his people having to face the mighty power of the Chinese government.

Note the kind of compassionate answers he gives, never playing up race or religion.

Perhaps we can conclude these kind of people like Hadi only can talk to the kampung folks. Can we accept such a character? Worst, as a leader?

Basically: Contradiction is too kind a word. There is no contradiction, from his actions. Hadi can either be an Umno mole or a power-hungry opportunist.

The Analyser: Stephen, so long as you and DAP supporters consume yourselves with hatred for Hadi, DAP will never come to terms with reality.

Unless the Chinese start to move away from the endless cycle of religion-hate-race, they will never progress in any direction apart from self-gratification.

PAS is a non-event kept alive by the hatred of the Chinese to make them feel so much better about themselves. Ignore PAS and it will go away as being irrelevant to the future of Malaysia.

But you need to hate Hadi and Co to make your puppet party Amanah have some relevance.

Unfortunately for the DAP, the s**t has hit the fan and Amanah is turning out to be a clone of everything you hate about PAS. "Sucked in by greed" - I think that’s the correct term to use in this case.

The reality of the situation is that as long as the Chinese think of the Malays as a problem, they themselves become a part of the problem.

Roar For Truth: Singapore’s former PM Lee Kuan Yew is consistent, Dr Mahathir Mohamad is a contradiction, but Hadi is pure directionless.

SUPP wants Hadi banned from S'wak for mocking Christianity

CQ Muar: Can anyone possibly believe Hadi was behind the championing of hudud to the people when he himself should first cleanse himself of bigotry?

Hadi's understanding of Christianity is absolutely naïve. Is this what he picked up in his early days as a religious scholar?

Hadi must be rejected by all peace-loving Malaysians of all races and religion. Sarawakians are correct to ban him from entering the state. All electorates must be reminded and ensure that PAS is eliminated in the next general election.

Saya Pun Nak Cari Makan: There is no need to ban Hadi go to Sarawak. Why are Christians felt so slighted by his uneducated remarks?

The Bible and Christianity have been ridiculed, made butt of jokes and all sorts of stories about the Lord, Jesus. But being the truth and the real truth, it weathers all the storms and even emerges stronger and stronger.

Like the Chinese saying for top quality stuff, 'True gold fears no fire", and that is what Christianity is all about.

RCZ: We cannot ignore Hadi and his bigotry. All Malaysians including Muslims must stand up, condemn and reject him. Otherwise we are also to blame.

Hadi is giving Islam a bad name. And he claims to want to govern this multi-racial country? Are Malaysians, including Muslims, going to allow this?

Anonymous_1393648884: Perhaps Hadi needs to be reminded of what the Quran in Surah 2:62 says:

"Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews, Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."

I say, "Sarawak, you must ban this bigot unless he retracts his offensive anti-Christian comments and apologise.”

Odin Tajué : I fully support SUPP secretary-general Sebastian Ting's urging.

Adenan Satem, the present chief minister (CM), was educated at St Joseph, a mission school. So was Abang Johari Openg.

Many other government leaders as well as corporate chiefs, be they Muslims or non-Muslims, received their education at St Joseph, St Thomas, St Theresa and St Mary - all mission schools.

By the way, at those schools, there are crosses everywhere, and yet those Muslims are still Muslims.
