YOURSAY | ‘Umno members side with the victor, not the one who tries to do what’s right.’

Mukhriz: Najib angered by my 1MDB, RM2.6b comments

Factnot Fiction: Umno members side with the victor, not the one who tries to do what is right.

It is well-known that there were those who sided with the invaders during the Japanese occupation.

They also supported former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad when Anwar Ibrahim was dismissed as deputy prime minister.

Are you surprised that they sided with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak once you were dismissed?

P Dev Anand Pillai: Dear ex-Kedah menteri besar Mukhriz Mahathir, the Malays are a lot that will rally behind brave and charismatic leaders from their own kind.

Yes, you have raised the issues of plundering the national coffers, but what have you done after that?

If you had come down to the streets like what your father's arch-nemesis had done 18 years ago, you would have been highly respected and the wielders of power in Putrajaya would thus sit up to take note.

But you - like that of former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin - are not of that ability. So, accept your fate and return to the business world.

Anonymous_40f4: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairperson Hasan Arifin has been instructed to quickly close and bury the twin mega scandals - the transfer of RM42 million from SRC International and the RM2.6 billion donation in Najib's personal accounts - like attorney-general (AG) Mohamed Apandi Ali .

The ball is now in the court of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Conference of Rulers.

Will they take the side of the rakyat and seek justice against the alleged criminals who stolen the people’s money, or will they take the side of Najib to bury the scandal, and let the rakyat’s trust and respect in them down? The rakyat are waiting.

ACR: With this revelation, what do we make of BN strategic communications director Abdul Rahman Dahlan stating last week that Mukhriz’s removal has nothing to do with Najib?

Nehru: The truth is obvious. Najib is afraid of the RM2.6 billion ‘heist’, always having to look behind his shoulders and removing anyone who questions or is a threat to his post.

When the time comes - where there is sufficient momentum of push by citizens calling for his resignation - there will be a rise in the people’s power to oust him.

That is how history repeats during tyranny.

Falcon: Enough! Your father was no better and he was the one who had laid the foundations for Najib’s consolidation of power. Enjoy its fruits, Mukhriz.

Headhunter: Sorry, it is too late my friend. You should have spoken about this when they were trying to drag you away from your MB throne.

No point crying over spilt milk now.

PAC to decide on 1MDB probe witnesses after audit report

Citizen No.26: The audit report by the auditor-general is limited in its scope as it is not a forensic audit. Why must the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) depend on the limited audited report?

Why can't PAC summon the key suspects including the prime minister, flamboyant tycoon Jho Low and the SRC CEO Nik Faisal Nik Ariff for questioning?

Furthermore, why can't PAC summon Bank Negara and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to give their sides of their investigations?

It is a disgrace if PAC chief has to depend on press reports as conclusive evidence.

PAC has to act objectively in order to remove the public impression that its chief is doing a cover-up job to ‘ cari makan ’.

RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: So many sharks are biting away chunks of 1MDB meat, and the world will be very surprised that if none of them is caught.

Thus far, none of the bodies set up to investigate had indicated their urgency in getting the culprits.

So many billions had already disappeared into thin air and still no one from 1MDB has volunteered to tell the real story.

And the Najib government not only places a very low priority on this issue, it in fact tries to foil serious attempt to smoke out the culprits.

Senior: We already know the result, don't we?
