Walk the talk, declare your assets, NGO tells Mahathir
Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been urged to declare his assets in Malaysia and abroad.
Pertubuhan Minda Sosial dan Prihatin (PMSP) president Ramesh Rao said this is to prove that Mahathir really is against corruption.
"Mahathir is very vocal about corruption. (He accused) Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak of corruption.
"If you're really against corruption then walk the talk and declare your assets," Ramesh told reporters in Putrajaya today.

Mahathir ( photo ) has accused Najib of swindling public funds in the RM2.6 billion donation and RM42 million SRC International issue.
Najib, however, has denied any wrongdoing, and rubbished claims he misused public funds for personal gains, describing it as an attempt to topple him.
Attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali also said Najib will not be prosecuted over the two cases, because no element of corruption was found.
Ramesh claimed to have received reports that Mahathir has "extravagant assets" in Argentina, Australia, the UK, the United States, Canada, Langkawi and Subang Jaya.
He also cited findings by deceased author Barry Wain who presented in his book ‘ Malaysia Maverick : Mahathir Mohamad In Turbulent Times ’ that the former premier had billions in assets.
Wain, a veteran Australian journalist, died in 2013 .
"Mahathir has never responded, sued or taken action against this book. [...] Why keep quiet?" Ramesh asked, saying Mahathir should have sued Wain.

) included his demands in a memorandum that he wanted to hand to Mahathir today.
However, the Perdana Leadership Foundation barred the NGO leader from entering their premises, forcing Ramesh to hand the memorandum to a security guard.
"This is very disappointing. We were not allowed in because they gave orders not to let us in. Whether this is private property or the government's, I don't know.
"Maybe this is the freedom of speech practiced by Mahathir," he said.
According to its website, The Perdana Leadership Foundation was set up through private and corporate donations.
