Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said has once again denied that she usurped Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia's power.

"No, I didn't," she said when met in the Parliament lobby today.

She was responding to DAP whip Anthony Loke who accused her of pre-empting Pandikar when she claimed the arrest of PKR lawmaker Rafizi Ramli was done according to law .

"Read my statement carefully, perhaps the opposition doesn't understand English or Bahasa Malaysia," said the minister when quizzed on this.

She, however did not provide a direct answer when asked if the speaker was fine with her statement.

"You read my statement," she reiterated.

Previously, Azalina received a warning from Pandikar not to usurp his power when she had jumped the gun and declared that debates about the RM2.6 billion donation issue was sub judice.

Following this, the minister she had no intention of taking over the speaker's duties.

When met later, Pandikar also declined to comment the matter.

"This is an old issue. I have already made the ruling. It is not right to ask (me) to comment what another person had said.

"Go ask the minister, I know my power," he said.
