Former deputy solicitor-general I Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah's appointment as judicial commissioner yesterday marks the departure of another official, who is said to be close to former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail.

It comes in the wake of former solicitor-general Azailiza Mohd Ahad's early retirement in April, and former AG's Chambers head of prosecution Abdul Wahab Mohamed's departure last December.
