Contact the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and request for a copy of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

This is Bersatu’s pro tem president Muhyiddin Yassin’s suggestion to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak if the latter is doubtful whether the new party would champion the Malays.

“Of the 13 objectives and aims of Bersatu, the top three are to uphold Islam as the religion of the federation and to respect the right of non-Muslims to embrace and practise their respective faiths in peace, to uphold the sovereignty of the Malay rulers' institutions, and defend the special position of the Malays, those from Sabah and Sarawak and legitimate rights for all races,” he said in a Facebook post.

Furthermore, Muhyiddin said Bersatu would be committed to combating corruption and abuse of power on top of advocating good and clean governance.

He said these issues were the main weaknesses in Najib's administration.

"Corruption is rampant, malpractices are widespread and breach of trust becomes common practice.

"This is what caused the government under his leadership to become unpopular and greatly unsettled the rakyat," he said.

Muhyiddin said while the Malays have been silent, he believed that they are wise and will not sit by as billions of ringgit is stolen, in reference to the US Department of Justice's (DOJ) finding that US3.5 billion was stolen from 1MDB.

"What has happened to such a large sum of money? Was it given to the Malays? The answer is certainly not.

"Instead, it was spent at the whims of Jho Low, Najib's stepson Riza Aziz and their friends to finance their luxurious livestyle including the creation of a Hollywood film.

"According to the DOJ filings, RM2.6 billion was also put into Najib's personal bank accounts," he said.

Muhyiddin said if Najib wanted to clear his name, he should accept former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's challenge for a debate.
