MH17: Najib reiterates demand for justice

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today reiterated Malaysia’s demand for justice for the victims of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 which was shot down in eastern Ukraine three years ago.

"It remains our foremost priority to seek justice for the families of those who perished. We will pursue and prosecute the perpetrators of this outrageous act. This is a tragedy that Malaysia will never forget,” he said on Twitter and Facebook.

Najib also expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the tragedy.

"Today, three years ago, 298 innocent lives were lost when Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down. We lost 43 fellow Malaysians that day. For their loved ones, the memory of them will never fade.

"Malaysia stands united with you,” he said.

MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014, killing all the 298 people on board. The victims were from the Netherlands, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Britain, Belgium, Germany, the Philippines, Canada and New Zealand.
