The 'crystal ball' play by Daim Zainuddin is nothing new, Perak BN chief Zambry Abd Kadir said today in response to the former finance minister's prediction that Perak will probably fall to the opposition in this general election.
Zambry said Daim has been making a prediction in every general election and his predictions are almost the same, every term.
"Knowing Tun Daim is not new, for he has been predicting in almost every election.
"In the last election also he predicted the same. I remember that in the earlier GEs, and even during the previous GE also, he predicted the same.
"You don't know. Probably he is using his crystal ball. Others also have their crystal balls, so he is just predicting, as in many, many previous elections.
"I don't want to respond to it. What is the most important for us is to work on our campaign," Zambry told a press conference after his walkabout in Pulau Pangkor today.
He said BN Perak would continue work hard and would not be influenced by Daim's statement.
Yesterday, Daim predicted that BN would likely lose its grip on Kedah and Perak, come May 9.
In an interview with Nanyang Siang Pau, Daim said this would happen if Pakatan Harapan fulfilled certain conditions, including having the right leaders.
