With his self-initiated food stall in SS2 Petaling Jaya open every weekend morning, 21-year-old Aidille Iman is donating all of his profits to the Hope Fund (Tabung Harapan Malaysia) starting today until the mid-June Raya celebrations.

Named Project AA, Aidille’s food stall was an initiative he started three years ago, after he completed his SPM.

Since then, he has promoted the Bersih cause through interactions with customers, in addition to sponsoring food for Bersatu campaigns, including those of Bersatu Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Yesterday was the first day of his campaign and Aidille made a total of RM1,170 in just over two hours.

The never-ending queue at Project AA attracted the eyes of many passers-by.

Seeing the sign on his truck stating that all of his profits would go to Hope Fund, a woman walking by with her husband told Aidille: “Wah. 100 percent you give, ah? Very good lah. God bless you.”

The Project AA founder appreciated the positive response and support from the market goers and his customers.

“There’s one customer just now who bought Nasi Lemak Biasa. My Nasi Lemak Biasa is RM2.50 but she gave me RM50 and asked me to keep the change for the Tabung Harapan.”

Aidille (photo) also said that the proceeds from his sales towards the Hope Fund will be an investment for the country and the future of the nation’s children.

Stating that Malaysia was changing for the better since the May 9 elections, Aidille also called out the consequences of years of corruption that has resulted in Malaysia’s national debt to hit RM1 trillion.

“I hope the corrupt people, the thieves and their partners in crime, will repent and help clean up their mess.

“Please do not let your crime affect your children any further. It is unfair for your children to carry your guilt for their lifetime.”

He also called on Malaysians to unite, “even though we are not the same”, because Malaysians are not afraid of one another’s differences.

“Unity and trust promise respect, power and the greatness to protect our rights, faith and culture. A new Malaysia!” he declared.

Yesterday, two companies and a businessperson in Penang handed over a total of RM3 million to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng to tip the total at RM30 million for the Hope Fund, just five days since its launch on May 31.
