The Kelantan government should take advantage of the federal government's approval for the petroleum royalty to be channelled to Kelantan for the benefit of the people in the state, said Kelantan Pakatan Harapan chairman Husam Musa.

He said the state government should present a proposal on how it planned to use the royalty so that the people would know how they were going to benefit from it.

“I have heard a lot of statements made by PAS leaders who are eager to get the royalty, but I never heard of them having a proper plan on how to spend the money,” he told reporters after the launch of the Tanah Merah MP’s operation centre last night.

Prior to this, the Kelantan government had expressed its gratitude to the federal government for agreeing to channel the petroleum royalty to the state as announced by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad last month.
