Two separate Sessions Courts in Kuala Lumpur today acquitted former Padang Serai MP N Surendran and Sarawak activist Lawrence Jeyaraj for sedition in relation to their comments on Anwar Ibrahim's Sodomy II conviction.

Surendran was acquitted by judge Emilia Kaswati Mohamad Khalid after deputy public prosecutor Asyraf Zubir Mohd Zain informed the court that the prosecution did not want to proceed with the case.
