PKR POLLS | Outgoing PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the party's central election committee will investigate Rafizi Ramli's claim of money politics in the ongoing PKR elections.

Rafizi is contesting the position of deputy president against incumbent Azmin Ali.

"We will investigate, now you're telling me, so I'm aware of it," she told journalists at the Parliament lobby.

She said the committee will summon Rafizi to explain the allegation.

Yesterday, Rafizi claimed that money politics was becoming worrying in the PKR election.

"There is something that makes me go through sleepless nights. Next week (coming Saturday), you all will compete in the division level in an environment never seen before... with money strewn all over the place.

"There will be quarters who will offer between RM100,000 and RM200,000 to the divisions. There are states where voters are given RM100 for a vote.

"I'm mentioning this early so it doesn't shock you when it happens," he had said.

The PKR election will run from Sep 22 until Nov 10.

This weekend, the states of Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Perlis and six divisions in Selangor will go to the polls to elect the new PKR leadership.
