Terengganu Amanah Youth has urged those in the PAS-led Terengganu government to declare their assets.

This is after Terengganu Amanah Youth communications director Muammar Qaddafi Mohd Nasir claimed a PAS MP had been appointed into the board of four Terengganu government-linked companies (GLC).

"The asset declaration will allow the people to monitor if any individuals take advantage of their power in the state government to amass wealth whether through the state government or its companies," he said in a statement today.

Furthermore, Muammar said with the Pakatan Harapan-led government's decision to restore oil royalty to Terengganu, which has amounted to RM450 million, all the more demands for greater transparency among state leaders.

He added that federal government leaders have already declared their assets, so has the Malacca state government which is led by Amanah.

As such, he urged the Terengganu government to emulate these examples.

"The Terengganu government should take this measure seriously if they are sincere about transparency and integrity," he said.
